I was really worried about the future of CF until I read your post about the CEO's. Thanks for your insight, I'm at ease now.
  2. Oh, but I'd so miss being the guy that gets his lap repeatedly smooshed when that worried rider in your car is convinced the lapbar is his, and his alone. [/sarcasm]
  3. If that's the tree, I'd like to see what the presents look like!
  4. Maybe it is a clue... In a topic about a company from Indiana with a repeat MVP (coaster or quarterback), it is described as possibly unwise to invest in the other park from another state. The link mentions the quarterback that will have a neck that is no longer injured. Holiday World is bringing adjusting Voyage so to make it run at full potential. The link given discusses possibly bringing in a quarterback from another state, similar to HW expanding beyond Indiana. The same link was posted in another topic about football, and depending on which order one might read the posts, it could take you for a loop one way or the other. I think we are being told that Greezed Lightnin' will be brought to Holiday World, and anything else would be foolish. Unless my amateur detective skills are failing me (which they often do), I believe this mystery is solved. He would have gotten away with it too, if not for you meddling kids.
  5. Unless my amateur detective skills are failing me (which they often do), I believe there is a problem with that post. Could it a wrong URL?
  6. I like to think of units of time in terms of wave pools. Person 1: "What year did The Beast open?" Person 2: "1977, I think," Person 3: "Nah, man, It was 1979." Person 2: "Whatever, it was like two wave pools ago."

^Ronny, at least I got you to post!
  8. I can't wait to use the new 650,000 gallon family bathroom!
  9. ... And from that came the $1 million in extra revenue earned by Kings Island this summer... Think about that figure. Add in the other four big parks, expand it to the whole summer, and pretty soon you'll literally get a "free" coaster. This system required very little initial or ongoing cost. No machines, no Q-bots, no computer systems, no distribution tickets.. Just signs to point up the exit and generic event wristbands. Morality (aka, opinion) aside, it's smart. Really smart.
  10. An absolute crime? I bet Diamondback would not be here today if KCKC was torn down...but I do agree with you about the antique cars.
  11. This is one of those threads where you want to say some equally cool to what J.D. has created... yeah no words can do that. All I can do is say thanks for re-ignighting so many memories and just... I don't know. The work your doing could make an amazing book or historical document of some kind. People are fascinated by these photos whether they like KI or not. Honestly, I think KI management would be foolish to not contract you if you continue to do this high caliber of work... and yes I know "they're" reading this. I would gladly pay $30-40 for 30 pages. Now, if you could partner with some our members here to compile the insane amount of historical data that floats through this place... There is a lot af value there my friend. I truly wish someone takes advantage of what you've done because it SHOULD BE PUBLISHED. PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!! Thank you again J.D. and I'll start remembering and posting some of the things people are telling my about your work.
  12. I still can't believe that whole area was ever at Kings Island. It's just so hard to imagine. I did visit it once, but was too little to remember. It's fascinating seeing that area compared to today. Thanks again!
