July 13, 201610 yr https://www.visitkingsisland.com/events/things-to-do/events-and-promotions/Christmas-in-JulySanta, Movies, Crafts and Fireworks!
July 13, 201610 yr Dang, I was just about to post this myself. I think I'll try and make it there once for this. Hopefully, Friday or Sunday for a movie, but my graduation party is Saturday, so we may end up too busy.
July 13, 201610 yr Now everyone can stop talking about Winterfest Thank goodness. [emoji3]Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
July 13, 201610 yr Wish I didn't have to work weekends so I could go see the movies, but I'll probably at least make it up there one day that week (I typically go to KI once a week at the moment).
July 13, 201610 yr Just read about that in my e-mail a few minutes ago. Well, that's one (completely unexpected) way to appease the bring-back-Winterfesters!
July 13, 201610 yr Now everyone can stop talking about Winterfest Really? Terp -- who learns the darnest things here.
July 13, 201610 yr Christmas music playing loudly around the park. Christmas decorations 90° and wearing my ugly Christmas sweater for a front gate photo or FunPix photo on Diamondback or Beast. Imagine the possibilities [emoji319][emoji567][emoji51] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
July 13, 201610 yr Winterfest would be a nice incentive to buy a pass for 2017. Maybe just getting warmed up in July? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
July 14, 201610 yr I wonder if they'll do any decorations for this, or if it'll be strictly the things listed. Also, was there any indication as to where the movies will be shown?
July 14, 201610 yr Author Really no indication for any of the "events." I wonder if they have the capability for movies in Timberwolf. It'd be good to see that area of the park used again. I'm going to assume most of the stuff though will be in Planet Snoopy (as far as crafts, Santa and North Pole mailing).
July 14, 201610 yr Could be, even if their not still sounds like a nice event. Wonder if they are putting up any decorations.
July 14, 201610 yr Author May seem out of the blue, but these events don't just happen. They've probably been planning it since last year at the latest. Sent from the cellphone Zach Morris used in Saved By The Bell using Tapatalk
July 14, 201610 yr Christmas usually means gifts, non-religiously, and we have been anticipating an announcement of some sort.. just to throw where my mind went to.
July 14, 201610 yr Author Hey welcome to the thread We are anticipating an announcement, would it happen on the first day of the event, July 25th (a Monday) or one of the other days of the week?
July 14, 201610 yr I think if they did it, the end of the week would be better, despite the beginning being ON the 25th
July 14, 201610 yr Author If they were to announce something that week I bet it would be on the 28th, being a Thursday.
July 15, 201610 yr Of course, it's the week my parents and I are planning to go to KI. My parents won't be too happy about this I guess as long as there isn't Christmas music throughout the park it would be fine. I could see it just being in Planet Snoopy. Hopefully the announcement is announced soon so we can plan our trip around it!
July 15, 201610 yr Theyve got a good lineup of movies. Ive never been to a movie in KI just SC where do they have the movies in KI?
July 15, 201610 yr If I had a season pass, I wouldn't mind watching movies at KI. If I am a once a year person, no way am I spending a couple hours on movies I can see at home. Time is precious.
July 16, 201610 yr My prediction is the movies will be in the Theater... Ehhhhhh..... I would hope not.... due to Urgent Scare being in one side while the other is Coney Mall's prize warehouse.
July 16, 201610 yr My prediction is the movies will be in the Theater... Ehhhhhh..... I would hope not.... due to Urgent Scare being in one side while the other is Coney Mall's prize warehouse. I think he was referring to the Kings Island Theater, currently home to Origins.
July 16, 201610 yr Years ago they showed horror type movies in that theatre during Haunt time, I believe. A nice place to watch a movie though I was incredibly scared of them and afterwards was terrified to get out of my seat and walk around!
July 17, 201610 yr It was also the venue for The Magic Of The Movies. Shudder. Magic of the Movies was the equivalent of giving a child $5 million and telling them to go away.
