Due to strong t-storms possible on Thursday, I'm now going on Friday 6.29. I was wondering if someone could tell me how much of an impact it being on a Friday if the lines are hectic? Thanks for replying.

It being the Friday before the week with the Fourth of July in it, I suspect it will be busier than the normal Friday. But only time will tell.

How long would you say waits are on a normal Friday?

Friday's are still a weekday. I went last friday and didn't have any problems at all. Flight of Fear has an hour wait as usual, The Beast takes about an hour to get on probably as usual, but I was able to walk right on to Top Gun, Face Off, The Racer, and even Italian Job! And of course The Vortex, I hit it up 4 times.

Doesn't The Beast have as many trains running as Vortex? Or is it just that much more popular than The Vortex?

The Beast is more popular than The Vortex. The Beast even holds 9 more people...but its more popular.

An hour for The Beast? Thats pretty long. I've never waited longer than 15 minutes for The Beast this season.

I didn't wait this past trip, but it was the second coaster we hit when the park opened. The Beast usually takes at least an hour because #1 its a long ride (4 minutes) and #2 its popular. its ok though, its always well worth the wait.

Now Flight of Fear, I refuse to wait on, simply because the ride is too short for the line, and that video annoys the hell out of me! OH MY GOD ALIENS AHHHHHH! Every time they shine the camera on the people I flip it off.

I went this past Sunday, and I didn't wait and hour to ride anything. I was only in the park from 3:30ish to close, and I rode 17 rides, including Firehawk twice. I know Sunday is not Friday, but a lot depends on how busy the park will be. The # of groups that will be in the park, weather, etc.

It's better going it theres a chance of rain, or if it's extremely hot, or kind of cold, also when you walk into the park go to Rivertown then Coney Mall, Oktober Fest, and then Action Zone so there'll be shorter lines.
