Does anyone have any good suggetions for things to do around Cedar Point when not at the park. I plan to go up early in the day but cannot check into my hotel until 4pm. Looking for other things to do outside of the park. Plan on hitting Put-In Bay on one day, but looking for other suggetions.

eat at that east of chicago pizza buffet there by Cedar Point! that was my favorite. other than that idk, havent been to anything else but that.

Well, there are the indoor waterparks (Castaway Bay, Rain, GWL and Kalahari). For dining, there are loads of places along 250.

We took a trip to Kelly's Island when I went last year. It was a great way to relax for a day.

Put-in-Bay is certainly the place to go for a great time if you are going to be in Northern Ohio (for those over 21).

FYI- There is also a Jet Express that leaves from Sandusky to Put-in-Bay as well. It saves about a 40 mile round trip to Port Clinton, and parking in Sandusky is cheaper.

You may also want to check out Toledo. There is usually some nice things going on at the museum there.

Not to mention that Toledo has a world class zoo....

Ya we went to CP 2 thursdays ago and then went to put-in-bay that friday. We rented golf carts and they were slow as poop. We didnt take the jet ferry over cause its like $25 per person. The other one was like $12. There is a wine tour (my mom knows the owner) and a cave tour and crystal cave tour. But there really isnt much for kids to do there. Its more of a shopping and restaurant/bar place.

What exactly is "slow as poop"?

And tickets are not $25/ person for Jet Express. They are only $16.

East of Chicago is definatly a must if you're up there! One of the best pizza places I've been to.

If you have a little more time and you are the more outdoors type of person. Lake erie offers some fantastic fishing.

Within an hour drive you can visit the Cleveland Zoo and Rain Forest, The Great Lakes Science Center, and The Rock n Roll Hall Of Fame which are excellent attractions.

I'd Suggest the Merry-Go-Round Museum in downtown Sandusky.
