Favorite Element on Firehawk

Featured Replies

The way I see it, there are 6 major elements on Firehawk... 1.) First Roll to Flying/First Drop, 2.) Horseshoe Turn, 3.) The Loop, 4.) The Barrel Rolls, 5.) The Helix, and 6.) going up and down in The Station. Which is your favorite?

Mine has to be taking The Loop head first...

The first drop is the best cause if you're brave enough to not hold on it's the best part of the ride to feel like you're really flying. And if you sit in the back row the loop is awesome cause you get whipped through.

Horse Shoe turn.

I just hate the squeaky noise.

Yeah, I noticed that too. Does anyone know if it did that at GL?

Definitely the loop. It feels completely different from a normal sit down loop.

Iv'e never been to GL, but it probably didn't.

It most likely has something to do with the new paint job.

I don't know though.

Very true. Hopefully it goes away because it doesn't sound good IMO.

The inital lie to fly drop. Simply amazing. The loop is great too.

I think it has something to do with the new paint too, also the train prob has new wheels too right? Just a guess, also is the chain lift so loud just because it's new?

The lift was always loud just the way it was designed. As far as the squeak I haven't heard it yet, but it's probably just the wheels getting broke in. Vortex usually squeaks the first few month's of operation every year.

I love the horse shoe turn.

It was hard to pick what element was the best though cause IMHO they are all great. The only problem is I think the ride runs a little slow toward the end.

If one was on Firehawk on Saturday with me, Amy, UncleHenry, Bill, and some other KICentralers on the ride, then the best part was the multiple ups and downs in the station. Dude, it was better than SpongeBob doing that.

Were you on the 11th train? Because I was in the station when that was about to leave and it went up and down 3 times before it left.

I vote for the loop as being my favorite part. Laying on your back, and going backwards head first upsidedown is a cool feeling.

I voted for the loop because you go head first and the g forces are great.

I think we were around the 11th train or so. We didn't count. But yeah, we went up and down a couple times. The ride op even called it "Rocking Chair: The Ride"

It was hard to decide, but i eventually decided to go with the barrel rolls. It was between that, the loop, and the inital drop in fly position. Loops are on a lot of rides and I am used to them, but I had never ridden with a barrel roll, I was looking forward to that ever since i found out it was there. It was looking donw, then up, then donw, then up again. The drop was exciting because it was the first time I rode it and I wasn't sure how I would feel about the concept of being flipped upside down for most of the ride. But I loved it.

Yeah he did. I was in the station then waiting in line for the front car.

When you first flip over in the flying position and the first hill it is quite a feeling..I have never felt such a rush..Makes me wanna go back today and ride it again..Rain sucks though <_<

I voted for the horse-shoe roll, but now that i think about it, i like the first drop [lay to fly].

It was weired facing the sky and all the sudden your facing groound.

It's funny, when I first rode this coaster in 2001, the first thing I said when I got off was, "That's NOT how a coaster was meant to be ridden". Now, I like it ok. I think the Horshoe turn is the best part, because you feel like like you're flying like that guy in the comic book!

The loop. No doubt about it. I cant explain the feeling when you dont hold on and you go on the loop.
