I've been going to KI now for the past 21 years and don't plan to stop anytime soon! I must say opening day went pretty well aside from a few ride glitches. It was nice to see a few big shots with brooms inhand the staff seemed to be in good spirits. My daughter got to experience the IJST, TR, FOF, DZ for the first time and she was estatic I don't know if it's just me but does anyone else agree that it's time to either get someting new in the 3D theatre or remove it complely and KI build another wooden masterpeice through the woods or another great flat ride? Either way I'm coming back for a week in July and KI will always be my favorite park

I wouldn't say tear down Action Theater, but yes it is time for something new in there.

The problem is that the company who makes the movies for Action Theater usually make poor quality movies, like Smash Factory. I think AT is on it's way out anyways, probably why there isn't a new movie.

what are you talking about...The Smash Factory was the best one.

How about something like an IMAX style venue or a 3D laser show, what do you think?

Hmm… That brings about an interesting point. If AT would be removed, a circular path could be created connecting that end of the midway to the section back by FoF and Firehawk. This would get rid of the problem of having both paths dead end, and it would also create a small area for a small expansion. Also the red storrage buldings would also have to be removed.

I don't think Action Theater will be removed anytime soon.

I was told two seasons ago that they were planning on bring Days of Thunder back to the AT. It never happened...very disappointing because it rocked!

I think they did but it wasn't there very long.

Days of Thunder and James Bond were really the only good movies for the ride in my personal opinon

Days of Thunder did come back briefly but not enough people were riding it. Everyone was going over to the 3-d side, that was too bad. However I did get to see it once that season, I'm thinking it was in 2004, correct me if I'm wrong.
