September 11, 200619 yr Hi this is Chachi; Jesse and Lisa's Yorkshire Terrier dog and I have a sister named Jewels. All summer long my family has been going to Kings Island and "The Beach" Water Park and have told us that dogs were not allowed. So the last time they went Jewels and me had to find out for ourselves so we got on "The Beach" Water Park website and we found out that on September 10th 2006 all dogs would be welcomed. So when father went to work we pulled up "The Beach" website on the computer. When father got home he said; look the beach allows dogs on Sunday maybe we should take them! Jewels and me got really excited., so Sunday came and off we went. When we arrived and checked in we were amazed by how many of our fellow canine friend were there. We sniffed around a while and watched the dogs in the wave pool. Then they announced the contest for the best dressed dogs, when Jewels heard that she drug father all the way too the sign up table! I was very proud of Jewels. She pranced around when they introduced her., she ended up getting first runner up. Jewels now has a crush on the winner. After the contest mother took us back to our table and we were very pleased when father came back with two big hot dogs, one for me and one for Jewels. Then after dinner father rented a water tube and put Jewels and me on one side and took us out to the wave pool. After we got done floating in the water tube with father he let us swim with the other dogs in the wave pool. When we got done swimming we were pretty tired and decided to take a rest. After about 45 minutes we wanted to go sniff some more and we did. On the way home Jewels feel asleep. I heard my parents say they really enjoyed themselves and look forward to doing it again. Because of all the attention I got and our own hot dogs. Jewels and me can't wait until next year now!! Chachi
September 11, 200619 yr Very cute! (Wow...I just called something cute) Looks like it was a good time. Glad everyone had a great time. Congrats on the contest!
September 11, 200619 yr How do you know? Could be some very talented doggies wrote that report. Believe in the magic! It's the first step towards fantasy (or the loonie bin!) It looks to me that the Beach has indeed gone to the dogs. And splendidly! Great TR!
September 11, 200619 yr That is so cool! Looks like those poochs were pamered I always wanted to take my dogs to that event but never got around to it due to college and all. I love Dogs! looks like the pet parents and dogs had a great time.
September 11, 200619 yr Now thats hardcore I wonder if I could take my 2 great danes and my Doberman? glad you had a great time.
September 12, 200619 yr Author I wonder if I could take my 2 great danes? I think the picture below will answer your question, King Bowser; I don't know about everybody else’s dogs, but yes our dogs are pampered and I am constantly asking my wife “are we doing everything we can do to spoil themâ€Â. Another photo of intrest is the one below. They would throw a ball in the pool by the life gaurd and the dogs would run and jump into the pool trying to get the ball.
September 12, 200619 yr I pamper my dogs whats wrong with spoiling your pet? I cant spoil my son so I spoil my dogs! I love to pamper my pets so I know what you mean~!
September 12, 200619 yr Now you just need to take your dogs to Strickers grove so they can ride the Tornado. Picture of dog riding Tornado Roller Coaster at Strickers Grove
September 12, 200619 yr Author Tell me more about and where is Strickers Grove? I was just suggesting to my wife that maybe this Saturday we should go down to Holiday World.
September 12, 200619 yr Strickers Grove is just north of Cincinnati - and the next day its open to the public is October 15. Official Strickers Grove Site RCDB page for Strickers Grove
September 12, 200619 yr Author Thanks for the info I thought man that would be cool till I saw the picture of that dog on the roller coaster. I think if I took my dogs on something like that I would end up with a vet or a cremation bill!!!
September 13, 200619 yr Stricker's has changed management since that photo was taken. And a lot has happened in the ride world. I doubt seriously that dogs will be allowed on the Tornado coaster again. And I, for one, think that is a VERY GOOD thing. The restraint system for PTC trains was never designed with pooches in mind.
