July 19, 200620 yr At the end of the last school year, Fairfield High School (whoo!) put on the first amateur production of Starlight Express. While discussing it recently with a friend of mine who was involved, she mentioned that some of the costumes were originally used in a show at--where else?--Kings Island. My first visit to the park was just two or three years ago, but I certainly don't recall any such costumes in use. Here's a photo from the show, found on the Costume Castle website, which was the provider of all the costumes. I suppose it's feasible that the park sold the outfits to them when the show ended, but I'd love for someone to set this straight. Thanks!
July 19, 200620 yr after the shows end most of the costumes go back to a wharehouse where they are kept and reused or atered if possible. this also goes for most props......at the end of each year the entertainers have a chance to buy thier shoes that they were issued for the show, i doubt very seriously if pki sold those to fairfield.....i worked in entertainment for a long time at pki and never saw costumes like that, but i could be wrong
July 19, 200620 yr I know at NKU... my Theatre advisor said that they have to GIVE AWAY costumes to local High Schools who need them! They have a HUGE storage space stacked from floor to ceiling with costumes! IT's INSANE!!! -Hauntguy
