7/1 Family Visit

Featured Replies

Today Mrs. Chef, Toddler Chef, and I headed to PKI. Much to my delight, the park wasn't too crowded and the weather was beautiful. I managed to ride AE and The Racer alone and hardly waited at all.

We had a snack and saw many of the folksy shows, rode a few Nickelodeon rides and enjoyed the Nickelodeon Parade. It was a fun, family day. Next time we plan to visit CDBB.

Earlier this year Toddler Chef got sick a lot of PKI because he has allergies. Now that we know it, he takes allergy medicine and has a grand time.

It was interesting to hang out at PKI today knowing that the "P" no longer owns the park and the name will be changed soon. I don't care who owns Kings Island, I love it the same. biggrin.gif

Have a great day!

I know there was alot of people waiting to get in this morning, but it wasn't that crowed. Good to hear your visit went great. I'll be there on the 3rd, 4th, and the 5th All Day.

If you will be staying for the firework show, I highly suggest the extra side lot by the front restrooms. They open it up for this event and not crowded, you can get thier minutes before the show. At this location gives you a excellent view and they have extra speackers so you can hear everything. At points of the show the set off extra fire works off behind the southside of International street, so if you are in the side lot they are right in front of you. A very nice touch. This year show is way better than last year.

P.S. Elvis show was great too!!

Yes, And sorry for the mis-spells I'm typing in a motel room now.

Haha, what difference does it make where you're at and how you type?

Just messin man... Just had to ask.

Ever use a small laptop, especially if you have large hands?

It makes a HUGE difference, as well I know...

Be careful.

Proofread is one word, you know.

Oh I will be the first to admit that I am very sad at my spelling ability.

I just don't say that it's because I'm at a hotel. <G>

Sounds like you all had a great trip especially since it was not very crowded. I am going on the 3rd and that is all i can hope for is an empty park or nearly empty one at least.

^Even if the lines for rides are long there is so much other stuff to see and do that you'll still have a fantastic time. The park is also VERY well staffed on these weekends, that means lots of employees working rides, many employees cleaning, and many working food service to keep food lines (lines not prices wink.gif ) down.

Yep everyone with a fat wallet is welcome to come in, on the busy days.  wink.gif

Heck, everyone with a fat wallet is welcome to come in ANY day the gates are open. Regardless of who owns the park! If the wallet is fat enough and open enough, the park needn't even be scheduled to be open, given enough notice.

Seriously, if the wallet is fat enough and open enough, Six Flags and Cedar Fair both offer VIP experiences at most of their parks, where for a payment of a sum certain, one can avoid lines and have a personal concierge escort them around the park. The fee for this at Cedar Point is very high.

If Kings Island had such a program under Paramount, it was not advertised to the public. The Cedar Point program IS. $350 a person, minimum of four people, and twenty four hours notice (or an additional $50 per person, if available) gets you:
