I can't believe the prices changed in one day

Featured Replies

I went to order my tickets for Sunday and the character breakfast ticket went up to $44.99 each! They were $34.99 all week. I guess we will just get regular tickets. It comes out $2 cheaper that way, but my son probably would've liked the character breakfast. Oh well!!

I paid $37.99 for me and $29.99 for my son. I really hope that parking didn't go up to $12.50 like Dayton Daily News says.

No, parking is $10. Just another reason why I think the Dayton Daily News is written by a bunch of Middle School students. That newspaper stinks!

Yea I haven't been to the park yet this seaosn going today though but why in the hell would they raise the prices? Werent they all reday high enough?

If you purchase tickets online at last 3 days before your visit you get the lowest price. If you purchase tickets and it's not at least 3 days before your visit, the price is slighty higher.

What I am trying to say is that for the last week or so, the tickets for this weekend that included the character breakfast were $34.99. I went on yesterday to order my tickets for tomorrow and they went up to $44.99.

I didn't have enough days to order the 3 day ticket.

Did anyone else pay $106 for a gold pass today? I was thinking they were on sale.

Its understanable why they would have cheaper prices when you pre-purchase your tickets. It is easier to have extra employees when you have several days to schedule them.

Other reasons cost are going up is the fact that gasoline prices are through the roof. Kings Island like many business are feeling the cost of high gas prices. They pay for it from the cost of food that suppliers charge more for, to trucking companies that charge more for delivery charges due to fuel surcharges. Not counting the hundreds of vehicles that they operate every day.

This effects Kings Island in many ways. If gas prices stay too high through the summer then many guest will not take that longer trip to visit Kings Island thus costing the company more due to lower gate income.

This really has nothing to do with Paramount/CBS they are financially stable and are only trying to maintain their profit margin.

Uh huh. I guess that is why Cedar Fair LOWERED admission prices this year. And is selling cotton candy at 25 cents.

When your customers are having trouble coming up with enough money to pay admission, raise prices. Yep, that'll work.

I understand both sides of the agrument of raising prices. Raising prices can make you more money, but it could also make you lose more money. Higher prices less customers. If the prices are lower you could attract more customers. More customers equal more money. So it could go either way.

So PKI's attendance could be down because of the higer prices, and Cedar Point's could be up with the lower prices. But I have no idea what's going to happen.

But I think with the gas being as high as it is, may keep alot of people away this summer from traveling anywhere.
