I attended WinterFest yet again tonight. Several changes have occured since opening night. The lighting ceremony is now briefer without all the attempted humor.

The Eiffel Tower now goes through various changes throughout the night, other than the back lit lights changing colors. The Christmas lights dim and blink on and off. Sometimes they even turn off, and the tower is lit simply by the spot lights shining on it. The lights on the fountain pedastels also dim as well.

Everything else was essentially the same. (The HB Carousel and Pixie and Dixie`s Swings were closed (I`m assuming because of the snow on top of the rides). They have added blue rope lights to the chain fence down in the grass on Holiday Illuminiations.

As far as Nick Universe construction goes, all of the facade for the Boulder Bumpers has now been removed. Additionally, there were backhoes sitting on the former sites of the kiddie tumble bug (Boo Boo`s Baggage Claim) and the Hampton umbrella ride (Huck`s Hot Rod`s).

WinterFest Update

Looks like the new Nick area will just like HB Land with new rides.

Not all I hear Yogi's Skytours is still standing so is the Jetsons jet orbiters,HB Carousel.

King, ya know that HG Characters are going to be alive and well in our hearts long after the NU characters have come and gone.

So far of what I know is that progress is being made.

Yep. I added a couple photos of the progress that has been made on Sunday night. They are still in the demo mode as the backhoes had O`Rourke written on them. O`Rourke is the demolition company that also demolished Cinergy Field (aka Riverfront Stadium).

Well it is sad to see them go but hey they have to make money to stay in buisness so it really has to happen. All the good memories that i had there.
