February 11, 201313 yr Ride Warriors Coaster Weekend was incredible and one of my all time favorite events!
February 11, 201313 yr In addition, there is an event cost. Unlike many DC museums, not all the best things in life are free (and we pay for those, too, in various ways).
February 11, 201313 yr Heck, even the KIC event that we had back in 2008 required a cost. I too miss Ride Warrior Coaster Weekend at Kings Island, and only participated in the first of the two days, due to school requirements. (I was also silly and left the park for a few hours for an afternoon shift at Coney before returning to Kings Island to ride Diamondback until 1am).
February 11, 201313 yr I very much doubt that you regret that, loyal Coney Island of Ohio associate that you are!
February 11, 201313 yr Nope, I would do the same thing all over again. I got to work my Eli Bridge Ferris Wheel that day, with a person that I am still great friends with to this day, even though he last worked at Coney back in 2009. I`m getting ready to start my 12th season at Coney. Going to start the hiring process here in about a month. (Anyone that would be interested in working at Coney, fill out an application on Coney`s website at www.coneyislandpark.com). Its hard to believe how quickly time flies. It seems like just yesterday I was starting work at Coney.
March 2, 201313 yr Does this event have the same things as Coaster Mania at Cedar Point? What I mean is early ride entry on certain rides and late night rides on certain rides? What about behind the scenes walks of certain roller coasters like Diamondback, Vortex, and The Beast?
March 3, 201313 yr The answer is throughout the thread. There has been in the past. What will be this year, other than the date, has not yet been announced, to my knowledge. See the second post of the thread for some details from years past.
March 3, 201313 yr Would that be SOK? Thank you Interpreter. This goes out to Aaron. What does that stand for?
March 3, 201313 yr Son of Kinzel. Bart. Dick and his board did a thorough, world-wide search to get the most qualified applicant for General Manager at Carowinds. And it just happened to be the Chairman, CEO and President's son, Bart.
March 8, 201313 yr Details for BeastBuzz have been released: http://coasterbuzz.com/Content/BeastBuzz
March 8, 201313 yr Sounds like one awesome day. I may just have to go to that. I would love to go on the train tour. It all depends on how busy I am that weekend working down at Coney.
March 9, 201313 yr I'd love to go to that, but my GOCC membership won't get me in because it only costs $20/year. I might end up buying a CoasterBuzz membership to go with the GOCC one, just to get into this. Class, raise your hand if you hold multiple coaster club memberships.
August 1, 201313 yr Decided to bump this because it is coming up. What other KICers will be participating? Do you guys recommend I participate? We are debating if we should buy a Coaster Membership and pay admission to the event.
August 1, 201313 yr I'd love to be there, but I'd have to buy a second club membership to get in because my GOCC membership won't, and I just can't afford that at this time.
August 11, 201313 yr No. Some years have been skipped. It's a safe bet that next year won't be skipped.
August 11, 201313 yr Does it matter how long you've been a member of coasterbuzz or could you literally get a membership weeks before the event and still do it?
August 14, 201313 yr Great photos of BeastBuzz 2013 taken by CoasterImage.com......... http://www.coasterimage.com/beastbuzz-at-kings-island-the-day-in-photos/ There are some very HQ pictures of the Banshee area and overall good pictures of The Beast.
