Breaking in a friend at PKI

Featured Replies

We are going to PKI next Saturday and it will be so freakin awesome. Anyway, I'm riding with a friend that has only been to Holiday World. He has never riddin a looper so what should I start him off with? I figured FoF since it's not as rough and it does only have lap bars compared to Vortex's OTSRs. Do you think thats a smart move? I don't think the launch will bother him . . .

I think FOF because The Vortex is rough and will give you a headache all day. Or SOB. J/k

Nah, just sit him/her/it in Face/off, and tell em that this is the worst type of ride ever made, and that IF they survive, you will take em on an actual looper.

lol why is face off the worste type of ride every made lol

I took my little 11 year old sister to PKI last year and Face-Off was her first lopping coaster. She almost cried when going up the hill and screamed the whole way around, but when she got off she was no longer afraid of loopers. Since then she's ridden everything there and I took her to CP and she's mastered all of them babies too. Nothing like your first looping experience.

^That was my first looper too. The year it came out I figured it's probably the smoothest looper out there so I should break my teeth on that, and if I do that one I'll be able to ride anything. Of course it was perfect and I wasn't afraid of anything from then on.

My first looper was Face Off, i used to be so afraid of heights i wouldnt ride anything bigger then Adventure Express but one of my friends shoved me on drop zone and now i ride everything but im still scared of heights tongue.gif
