February 14, 20251 yr Qiddiya Oh crap....... this isn't looking good for Falcons flight.............. The new merged Six flags now actually owns Six Flags Qiddiya................. I give it a year or two tops before Zimmerman axes it.

Saleem Bafoon has orchestrated the contract for SFEC to manage/ operate it. My conjecture is that as the park nears completion, the entities that own it realized that they needed help and Bafoon stepped in. Prior to this announcement, the owners had merely licensed the Six Flags name and would use the company as a consultant.
February 19, 20251 yr I will be interested too see how they do staffing there. I know the cost of living there must be astronomical so it will be hard to have "cheap labor"
February 20, 20251 yr IIRC the "cheap labor" there is a different kind (putting it euphemistically) than the "cheap labor" here in the States. Forgive me if I'm thinking of the wrong country. The overall working conditions are also a lot different outside the US since they don't have to worry about paying for healthcare out of pocket in the same way we do and their wage systems seem to be a lot different too.

I have no clue, but with the addition of a windshield I would think no, but I know absolutely nothing about it to be honest. (Here is a picture of the train with the windshield.) I think the windshield will have a very different experience since you will not get that wind in your face so speed I feel will be very different.
March 3, 20251 yr With the speed and force of the coaster, it makes me wonder how long the windshield will last. Of course the engineers at intamin have designed it such a way that a failure would be unlikely.

I mean the windshield will see nowhere near the forces of a strap https://nj1015.com/kingda-ka-broken-strap-inspired-nj-christmas-card/
November 16, 2025Nov 16 This thread hasn't been updated since March, but I don't see any others. The one topc that had a more recent post focused specifically on Falcon's Flight. Anyway, Six Flags Qiddiya has an official opening date that just barely opens this year. I'm talking about New Year's Eve. Here is the link to the video. Huh. I feel like at 25 seconds, this turns into a ripoff of another commercial. I'm talking about that Visit California commercial. That said, I would love to experience that, but I don't see it as feasible in the short term. Also, for next summer, my eyes are on taking a trip to Canada, which includes Canada's Wonderland, Niagara Falls (both sides), stuff in Toronto, and a stop (back in the US) at Darien Lake before I return home.
January 2Jan 2 They did it. They actually did it. And I'm not gonna lie. The park looks incredible. Falcon's Flight looks incredible. It's still hard to wrap my mind around the fact that this thing even exists and is operational.
January 3Jan 3 I absolutely love Taylor's reaction to this crazy ride...it really shows how insane and forceful this ride is. I also really like the people's reaction in the row behind them But I feel a lot of the other rides at this park don't get as much attention because of Falcon's Flight. Like the tilt coaster called Iron Rattler looks so fun and smooth! All the rides in this park look so fun, but I unfortunately don't see myself going here ever. Still cool to see nonetheless!
