1700square feet isnt that much, thats only slighlty more than 40 by 40, I think they are making one of the shops smaller on I street and putting graeters in there.

If you remember at the end of last season that shop on the right near the entrance I think it sold Hello Kitty stuff or something like that had a clerance sale. The talk was a food vendor of some sort was moving into the space. If you read the PKI message it says "Located inside the park entrance on the right side of International Street" Sounds like this might be whats going in that space.

This is a sweet deal. Now I can get my favorite ice cream black raspberry chip when I go. I wonder how much it's going to cost for a couple of scoops. I know when I buy it at the store a half gallon runs $13.

Thankgoodness they finally announced that, so I can actually express that there's a better ice cream in store, but as far as favorites Algemesi's in Hyde Park is still my ultimate bomb!

I know that the park opens up in april I meant everyday so I could get some ice cream everyday! But I still love Smurfberry Ice cream more.

Are they going in by the ACE brick, or are they moving into the location that was vacant in 2004, right by the entrance to HBL, right past the LaRosa`s? I know the park maps last year said watch for a new eatery in this location. Great to hear another Cincinnati favorite making its way into the park.

At the first right you take into HB, behind some artists, is an old merch shop that used to sell beanies. Graeters will be located here. We've called this store "night vending" for a few years, I assume it's where they stored the glowing and light-up items that are sold at the front gate at night before the fireworks start. At least, I think that's what "night vendors" are.

In addition to this, the contract that PKI signed with Graeters disallowed us to sell any other scoopable ice cream, so those of you that may have purchased the Homemade Brand ice cream from the concessionaire International Street Ice Cream next to Street Pizza will no longer be able to. I'm not entirely sure what the gentleman that's in charge of that stand has decided to name the stand or what he's going to sell there.

Starbucks is a definate, but will not open in the month of April. It's going in at the Bakery, which is under-going heavy renovation at this time in order to transform it into a Starbucks. No word yet on exactly what they will serve there, meaning whether it will be the full Starbucks menu or a limited one.

Well there goes at least $10 bucks a day for me. $5 for coffee in the morning and then $5 for my Graters ice cream.

Everything keeps getting better and better. My Favorite Ice Cream at my Favorite Place to go!

If they put in a starbucks to go with graters, i will be set all season. A starbucks for in the morning before my shift, and some graters ice cream when i get off my shift, ill be in heaven

Starbucks is going to have the highest food costs ever! Everyone wanting to get their daily fix before, and possibly after, work. Will employees be allowed to take stuff from Starbucks?

So what now are all the new restaurants/eateries coming in this year? Are there any more on the way? I've heard about the Happy Days Diner, Chik Fila, Starbucks, and Graeter Ice Cream...anything I've missed?

If you pay for it out of your uniform, sure. Same as any other restaurant in the park, other than Oscars. You know the rules.

I wouldn't advise riding during your break though. Cause if you get caught up and miss your time back, either by your error, or a ride error.... yeah, makes for a very unhappy sup.

At Coney, we were strictly forbidden from riding any of the rides during our shift. The obvious exception to that is the slide, where when there is a line up at the top, the only way down is to slide down. (Although a couple times when I opened the Pythoon, the mechanics were finishing up their inspections and told us to hop in and take a spin!)

But if a ride broke down and you were stuck on it for twenty minutes, it would be hard to get back to your work location to resume working at your scheduled time.
