I was just wondering if anyone knows how they both have large mountains and PKI dosen't. Did PKI have the option, but opt not to due to cost or what. I was just wondering because the mountains seem cool and you could build a sweet ride on one like PKD did.

I think the Mountains where there when the parks opened, before Paramount bought them. I remember going to Canada's Wonderland as a child before Paramount bought it, and they had a mountain as well. Kings Island opened up with the Eiffel Tower. So I think the mountains were there originally with the parks but had nothing to do with Paramount. . . . although they fit in now.

Yes, the mountains were original to those parks and are related to when Taft built the parks in 1975 and the 1980s. That is the same reason why both PKI and PKD have an Eiffel Tower.

They should build a mountain and put a ride inside it or on it. That would be cool.

PKD's has Volcano is theirs'

I just don`t see PKI spending the money to build a mountain in the park. Plus, it just wouldn`t fit in with the atmosphere of the park IMO. They do have a rather large rock wall with a waterfall on it in The Paramount Story next to the Eiffel Tower.

For some reason, PCW got a mountain instead of an Eiffel Tower, but PKD originally had rides inside of theirs(a rotor, and some water attraction.) I read that after those rides were removed, the mountain sat empty, until Volcano was built.

PKIC members was told at the BB tour that they looked in to installing a copy of Volcano at PKI but it cost too much. Like said PKD had the mountain they just paid for a ride. PKI would have to pay for the ride and mountain.

^Too bad because from everyone who's ridden it I've heard it's an amazing coaster. On my only trip to PKD I didn't have the chance to ride it which was quite disappointing.
