March 1, 200422 yr Tell me if Im wrong but I think that all the rides installed beside The Racer before paramount bought the park havent been cloned. Im not sure though so dont quote me on that
March 1, 200422 yr Zone.... your wrong... lol PKD and PKI Shared several attractions before paramount bought the parks. PKD has / had the following clones of PKI rides (not sure which park had them first in any of these examples) Shockwave (same as King Cobra) Galaxie (same as Bavarian Beetle) White Water Canyon (fairly similar to ours) Tripple Spin (same as SR&R) Flying Eagles (same as ours) Sky Pilot (same as Flight Commander) Scrambler (same as ours) i'm sure there are several more, and some of those rides are common at nearly every park in the country so they dont really count as clones, but the fact remains... rides at PKI were commonly found at PKD long before paramount bought the parks....
March 2, 200422 yr Phantom Theater was unique to the universe, whereas there are several Paramount and Six Flags parks with Scooby Doo rides. Hence, I STILL MISS THE PHANTOM THEATER!
March 2, 200422 yr Really I dont see the point in cloning because if you go to one park you have been to them all so paramount and six flags is scwering themselves out of money. unlike Cedar Point and knotts where they dont clone rides there
March 3, 200422 yr Really I dont see the point in cloning because if you go to one park you have been to them all so paramount and six flags is scwering themselves out of money. unlike Cedar Point and knotts where they dont clone rides there Before you go accusing PKI of screwing themselves, you have to look at the facts first. PKI is a "local" park, which means they attract local guests. Since almost all of the guests who go to PKI are from around here, it doesn't matter if they have a same ride that's in California. It's most likely that the people from here won't go to that park in California which has the same ride that PKI does. Anyway, the average guest doesn't care if a ride is cloned because it does not affect them. PKI looks at the majority and not just one whiny person who wants everything unique just for himself.
March 4, 200422 yr Personally, I don't demand uniqueness from theme parks. I was over-joyed that I was able to ride Star Tour, Pirates of the Caribbean, and other rides in CA's Disneyland, Orlando's Magic Kingdom, and Japan's Tokyo Disney. Cloning rides offers consistency to huge fans of certain rides and attractions. And on a side note........I MISS PHANTOM THEATER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Have a great day! Italian Chef :chef:
