Phantom Theater

Featured Replies

Swinger: I'll try the best I can. Think of it as a kid themed haunted house. You walk in and get on revolving seats like the things that go around in Scooby Doo's Haunted Castle but different, and go around looking at all of the puppets and such.

YES!!! I was told that a couple of days ago at work we were talking about Kings Island and that sorta thing then my ashley told me six flags were wanting a new dark ride and want to get the rights from KI.

But that is nothing more than a rumor.

I heard that last year. Let's just hope that if it's true, it's SFKK or another local park that buys it so most of us can enjoy it.

It would be great to see PT back but better than ever I just hope if its true that 1.) the theming is great and 2.) Its longer w/ new ghosts.

Last year I heard the same rumor that SFKK was going to buy Phantom Theater. Unfortunately, I have found no concrete evidence to back it up. sad.gif

Have a great off season!

I wouldn't want anything added like new ghosts or to make it longer. If they do get it, I would like to see it just the way it used to be with the same music and everything. I would love to see pictures of it again.

Unfortunately, taking pictures on the ride was illegal so ]this is the best I can do for you.

When I rode Scooby Doo for the first time I thought,What the heck was that. No story line, and no FUN. I miss Phantom Theater. sad.gif

Me too. sad.gif It's funny, when it was stll open, I never really gave it a second thought. We rode it and all, but I never realized just how much I liked it until it was gone. Listening to that clip of the music from PT brings back many happy memories.

SDATHC has a story line it may not be as thick as PT's but it has one if you want me to tell you the story behind SDATHC just ask.I think SDATHC is loads more fun than PT.. PT was a relaxing ride but also in it's later years became boring in its own right SDATHC is more popular with the kids, tweens and parents, grandparents and some adults & teens of today.

I still do not think Helga was sexy.

I think she was sexy. She looks like one my ex-girlfriends and I'd be happy to take either one out to dinner.

Have a great off season!

Clip where??? unsure.gif I remember PT great ride but I like scooby more.

Look on the first page of this thread, in my posts. There are two links, one in a post. One of them takes you to R&R's website and directly to a page with a sample of the soundtrack.

I know this is off topic, but speaking of clips does anybody have a clip of the music that was on the front page of PKIC during Fear Fest?

That clip brings back all the fun I had on PT sometimes you can hear PKI playing that music on International Street.

PT's music always reminded me of the music from "Tales of the Crypt." I still prefer PT to Scooby, only because Scooby looks 'cheap' to me.

Well, the music is technically original. Though I'm willing to bet that some of it WAS inspired by Tales from the Crypt, maybe a little from Inspector Gadget, and alot from Beetlejuice; especially the part of the prop room theme with the intense beat that is commonly associated with the boiler room.

I couldn't agree with ItalianChef more on this one. He's posted numerous things about PT, including some fiction about the storyline and I think it's great. Seeing the pics is great, and I listen to my audio recordings now and then too. Crucify me if you want, but I'm so glad that I have them, for obvious reasons.

I've done Scooby three or four times, but unless there's a short line for it I might not do it any more, afterall there are bigger and more thrilling rides to ride. I would always wait for PT, though. Although in its older years, there really wasn't much of a wait at all. That meant I could ride it two or three times in a row!

Do you actually have the ride recordings, or a recording of you riding the Theater? I'm guessing the latter based on your profile.

I remember the first time I was at PKI I was scared to get on it. It's a good thing that I did end up getting on it.

While I perfer SDATHC over PT I will always remember being scared of that lighting and thunder effects while waiting in line hey I was little then..so you want to tour the theater do you? laugh.gif
