Please use this thread to update wait times for the 2021 season.

Please remember a ride going down is normal and is okay to report, but please don't post "Riders are stuck on the lift hill of DB." A vague statement like that is not helpful and that is when the media starts calling the park.

We can not wait to get the 2021 season started and look forward to seeing everyone at the park on Season Pass holder day next week.

Also a good rule I must add...no contacting people from the news media over things lol. I used to do that, but stopped when I was told the park hates it and especially now since I work there. 

Park is packed and full queue at MT. Be patient if you are here or coming.

Orion is full queue and lined back to the guess your weight game.

Chicken shack is almost back to coaster connections. We have been in line 20 min and still not to the patio.

That would be my guess.  This morning we got in line at 1030.  They started the ride at 1055.  Took us 40 minutes from that point to get through the back switchbacks to the ride.

What time did they open the gates?  So much for 11am.

Yikes. I'm at my son's baseball game so we won't be rolling in until around 4:00. Hopefully people will get discouraged by the lines and clear out by evening. Hey, one can dream right?

Other than Orion how are the lines elsewhere?

Parking opened about 1010.  You could scan into the park and line up for rides.  But rides didn’t run until 11.

Pretty crowded everywhere. We’re in line for Banshee now, we’re almost to the end but we got in line 90 minutes ago.

Not a ride, but food lines are a joke. Nearly 45 minutes for everything I've seen. 

 

Heck even the Paradise smoothie place that I've never seen more than 0 people at has 10 people in line

A little busy at Chicken Shack. Line goes almost to Coaster Connections. I thought the speed they were putting out food was pretty good. I have been impressed with operations with it being opening and so busy!

Just waited full queue on MT.  90 minutes.

I just rode DT and the parking lot is almost full. 

AE is out the queue into the midway. I will hand it to the park, they are running like it has been open for months. This is the best preview/opening I have ever seen.

Please guys be patient. This is literally the first day on the job for many associates. Several of them it could be their first day at a job period! I can guarantee you they are doing the best they can at their job!

I don't see anyone complaining about operations, just how busy it is. That is a good thing for the park.

Agreed it is a good thing for the park

We gave up lines everywhere except the restrooms lol even drink lines are 30+mins people are leaving but just about as many are still coming in.

Just got here. This place is PACKED. The food lines are insane. Just jumped in line for MT. Posted 90 min wait. We'll see.

Update: MT 90 minute posted wait. Actual wait: 35 minutes. And the ride is HAULING. Fastest ride I've ever had on it.

Left around 4 had a line to leave the exit.

What are wait times looking like right now?

If anyone remembers the site that publishes the wait times for many parks, that would be a great thing to post here. I bought Season Long Platinum Fast Pass through Carowinds and the girlfriend and I waited about 15 to 20 minutes on average I would say (outside of The Racer which was a walk on). Did get out of FOF's Fast Pass lane though (and did not return) as it was spilling out into the benches/ Orion Theming by the FOF exit. I'm guessing that would've been a 30+ minute wait.

My family and I pulled into the parking lot around 4, saw how crowded it was and kept driving straight for the exit.  There was a giant line to get through security still. I can’t imagine how crowded the real park was. You all are troopers.

Today we waited 1 hour for Mystic Timbers, 2 hours for Banshee, 1 hour for Diamondback, and 2.5 hours for Orion. Also 40 minutes for LaRosa’s.

On most rides they were filling half the rows with Fast Lane and half the rows from the regular line. Not sure if that is normal from past years or not. It kind of seemed like they sold too many Fast Lane passes today.

I noticed this as well.  I have no problem with season Fast Lane being used today.  I was disappointed that they sold daily FL for passholder preview.  But, after 2020, can’t really blame them for making some extra cash today.
