December 22, 20205 yr One night I was just curious which major theme park has REMOVED the most coasters. Kings Island has seen Bavarian Beetle, Screamin Demon, Son of Beast, King Kobra, the original Bat, and Vortex go away, mainly because they have taken the risk to lead on new technology and set the path for followers. Can any other park top that? My guess is that Cedar Point could be a contender due to age. I believe the old Cedar Point Amusement Circle had three or more that were where the CP mall is today. Thoughts?
December 22, 20205 yr Cedar Point has a total of 17 defunct coasters according to RCDB. https://rcdb.com/4529.htm
December 22, 20205 yr Wiener Prater in Austria has removed 26 according to RCDB. Here is the parks that I could think of and I grabbed the numbers off of RCDB. Geauga Lake - 14 coasters Great Adventure - 15 coasters Palisades - 16 coasters Cedar Point - 17 coasters Dreamland -17 coasters Wiener Prater - 26 coasters I doubt Kings Island is even in the top 20 or 30 for most removed coasters.

Firehawk, King Cobra, Vortex, Screaming Demon, and of course SOB all significantly contributed to not only KI's history but also the history of the industry as a whole.
December 22, 20205 yr These were the first 3 parks I thought of to compare to KI: Six Flags Magic Mountain - 8 (tied with KI) Kings Dominion - 6 Carowinds - 3 (interesting since they opened a year after KI)
