Rollercoaster in Preliminary Stages at Wild Water West

Featured Replies

Looks like there could be a RMC Raptor coming to Wild Water West in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. I think this could be a really good draw for South Dakota. I know there are some national parks, but I'm not much of a nature guy so this could probably get me to SD

What an odd large purchase for a tiny little water park and family fun center. I wouldn’t bat an eyelash if it was a flat ride or kiddy coaster.

Being that we are talking about an RMC Raptor it raises questions:

Where are they getting the money?

Is this a part of an expansion that includes more dry ride?

What is their expected impact on Attendance?

Did/will they ask for tax incentives?

Are they going to be able to keep this running?

And my final statement, someone says Go Big or Go Home!!

I saw the actual proposal letter somewhere yesterday, so I'll see if I can find that again. Looks like there could be a RMC Raptor coming to Wild Water West in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. This proposal letter was approved yesterday. It will officially be going to the park. I think it is also a custom layout because it is 500 feet longer and is a little layout.

There is lots of speculation that this is the actual coaster that was on display at IAAPA this year. It's reasonable to assume that RMC may have given them a good deal on what was essentially a 'display model', for lack of a better term.
