With this move, their corporate headquarters will not be far from the original Six Flags park.

Well I'm guessing the new CEO moved the HQ so they can prepare for major changes or plans. I also think with the new CEO that they might cancel some future plans, and a possible one could be Six Flags Quidiya?

I thought it was already canceled?

No it wasn't. That was Six Flags Dubai. That was cancelled a long time ago. 

Keep in mind that most of the overseas projects Six Flags was just going to get a licensing fee.  They were not the developers/owners of those properties.  Likely, they got a better deal to relocate to this location than they were currently paying at their former headquarters, thus saving them money.

Still I have never understood the Six Flags business model. They seem to spend money they don't have lol
