Past Attractions Photos

Featured Replies

I have been slowly trying to put pictures in galleries so we can revamp the old galleries page. A few months ago made the past attractions page: https://kicentral.com/past-attractions/

You will notice that rides that have their own page are linked to their respective page. Any attraction that is not hyperlinked we do not have a dedicated page for, and may not have any pictures of the ride. I would love to have some pictures donated for a gallery or ride that does not have a linked page or gallery. No, we can't just search google and find pictures to use for a gallery.

If you have pictures of any of these rides that you would like to donate please send me a PM. I will create a google photo page for uploads, then we will watermark them to give proper credit.

Thanks for any help you can provide.

Its nice to pay tribute to former rides!

Are you looking for photographs that people have taken themselves or....? I took a look at the page and saw a spot for Scooby Doo and the Haunted Castle and there are several images online of the former attraction. Same goes for a few others on there.

Any image I can get permission to use, personal or not. Obviously, I am not going to be able to get permission from an owner of a photo by doing a google image search. Plus, I figured KIC members would like seeing their own photos in the galleries.

Can I ask where in the park the Flying Dutchman was located and what is in that current spot?

Oh man that is a great picture. I used to go when i was so little and could never remember where those used to be. I wish they were still at KI.

It is near the entrance to Thunder Run, the Merry go Round and Roller Skater.  I think the area was originally known as the Belgiian or Bavarian Village.  Being that it is still there, nothing has replaced it.

@Maverick44, to clarify, it was at Kings Island in Oktoberfest from 1973-1990, in the spot depicted in the photo WindingSon shared. After 1990, it was relocated to Kentucky Kingdom and you can still ride it there.
