Mystic Timbers Trademark Complaint

Featured Replies

So a small attraction in California, that up until this point had no issues with the name "mystic" wants to file a complaint now? Ridiculous.  There's no way this is gonna get anywhere.

Ridiculous, the word Mystic is incredibly generic. Wonder what straw he’s going to reach for next.

There's not many, but there are people who make a living filing lawsuits. Win a few, lose a few, and hope to "settle" as many as possible. Looks to me that's exactly what's going on here. "Pay me, and my case against your big company goes away."

I’ll take Hollywood for $1000, Alex!

The Candy Crush people tried to do this a few years back with the word "Saga."

@Gordon Bombay I am anxious to hear why you are with the complaint.

pretty sure the Hollywood casino will also go after him, at the very least they have the funding to protect their interests names included.  Cedar Fair the same. he probably is just trying to play the pay me and ill go away game. Pretty big gamble if you ask me.  especially going after multi million dollar corps with matching lawyer power to boot. the win some probably depends on how much they think copy cats will follow and or the care of just making it go away over the hassle of proving hes just an idiot too.

This is stupid. The guy lives in California for goodness sakes! I don't think any Californian's are going to drive a total of two days just to ride a good wooden coaster in Ohio. Everyone except enthusiasts to be more specific. And Missouri is pretty far away too. Not even coaster enthusiasts care about Mystic River Falls that much!
