September 19, 20196 yr Parts for the old Intamin suspended launched coaster will be at the National Roller Coaster Museum!
September 20, 20196 yr I wish I could have gotten to riding Volcano, it looked like an amazing ride! At least I can see it in a museum!
September 20, 20196 yr Its a shame its service life came to such an abrupt end, but it's nice to see a parts of the ride preserved for historic value. The National Roller Coaster Museum doesn't (yet) have visitor facilities, but the collection can be seen during special events and by arrangement.
September 20, 20196 yr If it would've ran for just.. like 2 months in 2018 I'd've ridden it haha One childhood dream that won't come to fruition. Least I got to see it standing!
September 20, 20196 yr Random: Did Volcano have both a load and unload station or just one station? Also, was it not running much at the end of its life?
September 20, 20196 yr It had separate load and unload stations. It was down quite a bit in its final years, and being built into a former dark ride building didn't make maintenance any easier. It was up and running at the beginning of the 2018 season; I got what were to be my final rides on Opening Day.

Being there with you on that opening day, I do not remember there being a separate unload station.
September 20, 20196 yr Author I am so sad I missed out on this coaster. I had planned to go in 2017 but they fell through due to money constraints. I am so upset with myself over not being able to ride this.
September 20, 20196 yr When I rode it, there was no separate load/unload areas. This was in June 2016.
