I find this very interesting! It will be exciting to see what the plan is for this.

I could see two options for this:

1) Demolition and a build-out for more Castaway Bay lodging and water park.

2) Complete renovation from top to bottom to be themed under the Castaway Bay style.

Potential off-site dorms - allowing them to demolish the current ones on property and expand... perhaps.

According to the article, this is one of numerous properties purchased by Cedar Point along U.S. 6 (Cleveland Road). Here are the others:

 

 A portion of Farwell Street on the south side of Cleveland Road

• An alleyway between 1706 and 1800 Cleveland Road

• Along Cleveland Road and East Cowdery Street

• Between Cleveland Road and Knupke Street

• Within the 2000 block of Second Street

I've stayed at that hotel several times when I was younger, probably for the best it's getting bought up.
