I hear it more often than the “that means it’s free” joke, but I don’t hear it every day. I usually hear it once every 1-2 weeks on average.

The Kings Island Blog announced today that The Beast trains will return to their original color scheme for its 40th anniversary.

OMG! This is really exciting IMO! That's sweet! 

That's a cool way to honor the anniversary.  Now if only they could reroute service roads to bring back the lake/pond.

Thats certainly going to take some getting used to!  Cool nod to the original history of the ride though!

I'd love it if they brought back buzz bars and got rid of the seat dividers....okay I know buzz bars won't come back, but can we get rid of those seat dividers? lol

I actually like the throwback colors, it's something I've wanted them to bring back for years. I kind of hope this color change is permanent!

I think this is the most exciting off season we've had to date. It makes me happy to be a KI fan because I feel like they listen to what the people want more than any other park. The park does a great job appealing to nostalgia and what works for the park.

Now if they would only bring back the water feature at The Beast! Not necessarily the pond but the water feature (tower that’s SBNO) by the queue was awesome!!!

I wouldn't be surprised if there is still more to come!

With all the changes happening around the park, I would be thrilled if the park map received an overhaul. I don't care for the current art style -- I find it cartoonish and exaggerated. I would love to see a map that was more realistic and to scale. Silver Dollar City has a nice park map. I am fond of the old Paramount KI maps as well.

Don't even get me started on the mobile app's map!

I doubt we see a change to the park maps.  Cedar Fair park maps have looked that way for years.  I personally don`t find anything wrong with the style of the park maps.

2019 Early Ride Time Schedule

Happy to see the Antiques on the ERT schedule for the first part of the season.

I'm liking the Beast and Antique Autos combo. I am curious which paths will be open early; those rides and Planet Snoopy cover a large section of the park.

That will be interesting. Maybe the path behind the Eiffel Tower will be open, or maybe it will just be one long path going through Planet Snoopy and Rivertown.

Yes and I liked it...although I thought it could have a little more ranch flavor to it.

They had a different flavored cotton candy every week if I recall right.  Most of them sounded

Sorry to change topic but I was wondering what is going on to the right of the dorms.....there is a dozer working. Maybe parking lot?

 

EDIT * I see dump trucks leaving the dozer area and then going back behind AE. Maybe taking dirt to either FH worksite or the cars work area.

No, They are taking dirt from that area and taking into the park.  they are loading up the trucks with dirt and the trucks are coming in. After watching the cam for about 2 hours. The trucks pull up to the dozer area and sit there while its loaded. IF they were dumping they would be in and out in a minute. So KI is bringing truck loads of dirt into the park!!!

@Maverick44 That is where they are moving Millennium Force to.
