How crowded is it usually on the 4th?  Normal or Insane? Want to go if it's not to bad,, Kinda one of them things give up all other 4th of July plans for KI, but really don't want to if it's SUPER packed

It honestly depends on the year and weather. It could be extremely busy or dead. I've seen it both. There is no typical.

Weather always affects crowd levels, but that effect is amplified on opening day and holidays. Take Mystic Timbers (and these numbers are simply for illustration; they may be inaccurate): On an ordinary day, weather can be the difference between a wait of 10 minutes or 30 minutes. On holidays, it can be the difference between a station wait and a 90-minute wait.

I know it's still a week away but it looks like so far it's going to be hot and humid which may deter crowds. Memorial day was a breeze on rides but that heat was brutal.

We just decided that we are going to overnight it on the fourth, so if it's either busy or unbearably hot we can take a break and come back later in the day.
