This is the poster I acquired from the 20th Anniversary special in 1992. I was 10 at the time .

Kings Island is my best memories from my childhood 

I still like the Eiffel Tower lit the way it was pictured in that poster I think today's generation of kids is missing out on this experience it was calming but fun to look at after a hot summers day in the park.

I've always admired the floodlighting myself. The uplighting around the base of the Tower was removed last season to accommodate the Christmas tree lights, but they remain on the top cupola.

Those base lights wouldn't have effected the christmas tree for winterfest at all they have survived other Winter Fests with those uplights I would love to see a petition to get the tower restored for future generations to love and admire as I did growing up. Especially with the fireworks. 

Where is @Tera Ryzing to argue that the Intamin Eiffel Tower is better then a B&M Eiffel Tower.

That would be nice to see!  Maybe someone can ask them this question and about restoring the antenna at next year's Coasterstock.   

I think Kings Dominion's Eiffel Tower uses the multi colored LED panels like on ours, but will sometimes use the floodlights on the cupola and under the 265' platform. They might not want to use that lighting because of The Greatest Showman fireworks display, may be too bright.

I heard from one of the people on the platform that the antenna at the top was knocked off by a small plane in the early 90's.

I am also paranoid about Kings Dominion Eiffel Tower antenna eventually being lowered due to rust issues from the salt air on the east coast or it even breaking in half from not getting enough attention.

Been waiting since September 1994 for the answer 

I've never heard that before,  wonder if the pilot ever got into trouble,  flying so close to the tower like that?

, Maybe Kings Island can someday buy a new antenna from Intamin?  

It would make a great transmission tower, of course the radiation would be dangerous.
