Six Flags has announced that they have acquired the management rights to Darien Lake (which they used to own) and Frontier City.

So how does this work for the credit counters who view a ride name change a new credit?  If Ride of Steel becomes Superman: Ride of Steel again is that 3 credits or just two?  

new names are not new credits in my book

All were former Six Flags owned parks except Wet n Wild Phoenix.  If Six Flags also had gotten Wild Waves and Elitch Gardens, it would be similar to the same parks they owned in the early 2000's.

Any idea if/when a Six Flags Gold Pass will be useable at Darien Lake???

Would that be Gold Superman or Batman?  

Typically, when parks change ownership, pass terms don't change until the next season.

And this is further complicated by the fact that these parks are still technically owned by a different company.  They are just being managed by Six Flags.  

Do Cedar Fair Platinum passes grant admission to Gilroy Gardens, which is managed by Cedar Fair, but not owned by Cedar Fair?  BTW, the Gilroy Gardens website is the same basic design as the rest of the Cedar Fair parks, but it is not listed as one of their parks on the corporate CF website.

I have often wondered if these management contracts include specific performance targets that result in the management company getting say a percentage of sales, once a certain threshold has been met.  Or if they are just paid a base fee to manage the parks.  I would think the former would entice the management company to run the parks better as they would have a financial stake in it more than just getting a management fee.

@CoastersRZ  of course it does, but apparently not parking.

A Platinum Pass is valid for one park visit per day, and is also valid for free parking at all parks (except Gilroy Gardens), the registered Passholder must be present in the vehicle.

Just noticed this in my latest SIX email.   $20 entry to the newly managed parks and same for passholders at this parks for existing SIX parks.
