Anyone here when they might announce if we're getting anything new this year for HAUNT?

This stuff tends to trickle out in August.

  • Actually, Chad never left. He's been at the park for almost a year now.

I still don't know why the train was nixed from the haunt roster. Even with the wwc que shortened, the park could still run a "haunted train ride" and have the train pass scenes with actors and such.

That’s harsh.  Do you at least let his family visit him on weekends?

Traditionally around Labor Day weekend, my friend.

This act should be booked for Haunt.

She was really good on Americas Got Talent as well, I like her act, she's neat, not creepy. :-)

Looks like Board 2 Death & Carnevil got the boot this year

Keep in mind that the Haunt website typically doesn`t have all the information on this years Haunt, as others have said, until around Labor Day or shortly thereafter.

Interesting, knew about CarnEVIL possibly on the chopping block this year since the KICentral interview was done for July 4th. Really hoping that they can move it somewhere else. I remember there was something said in the interview that they wanted to try to keep it or incorporate it somehow around the park. Time will tell though!

Yea would love to see them keep it in some fashion. maybe could use some of the props and scream actors for a better circus themed scare zone than what they had around it. But if they plussed it and improved it, like with Slaughterhouse, in a new spot I'd be cool with that.

Would not be sadd to see Board to Death leave. It was always one of the weakest to me.

Strange to see that Blood Drums and Monsters Rock won’t be playing Haunt opening night Friday Sept 21 - the descriptions on both say opening on Sept 22 which is Saturday night.

That actually is very fascinating. I wonder if it’s a typo. If not, then why?

I’m assuming C.H.A.O.S. is our only new maze and that Coney Maul and Pumpkin Eater are both scare zones since they arent Fright Lane. But am glad to see Rivertown getting a scare zone.

You're welcome, and not to sure on that

Meh, until they actually start staffing accordingly it's the worst haunted attraction in the city.  My friends and I generally go once, but I try to avoid the "white trash bash".

Little bummed about Carnevil. That’s always been a favorite since my first Fearfest visit (‘05 or ‘07). Good ol’ Circus Horrors 3D in the Festhaus...I’m suddenly feeling a bit old.

The Festhaus was a pretty terrible location for a haunt, though.

I’m glad coney mall is finally getting a official scare zone

I'll say it before someone else does...

If they would only put the sign back up.

I wonder why they haven’t is there a reason they can’t

I don't think anyone really knows if I recall from past discussion a while back.

It was removed when they were building the Coke Freestyle building there. It was assumed at the time it would return when construction completed. I have two suspicions: either it was damaged or it was "appropriated" (stolen), and they didn't feel it was important enough to remake.

As far as Haunt, I'm pretty sure there will be killer clowns again, but I'm wondering if they'll be in Freak Street or Coney Maul. I also wonder if the actual "freaks" will come back to Freak Street, like the conjoined twins, etc. Last year it was a bit of a wasteland, with none of the figures (except Jack in the Box), and few or no scareactors most of the time.

Pumpkin eater was a new maze last year at knots scary farm so I wonder how they will make it a scare zone

There's actually a third one called Pumpkin Eater. Which looks very interesting.

I recently looked at a video of this at Knotts from last year...looks kind of cool. Part of it was inside and part outside. Wonder if that'll happen at KI too.
