I feel like the delay with SC is because it's being built at Kennywood. I love KW, but they run on a schedule for building new attractions that makes Six Flags look like Cedar Fair.

I recall they got a late start going vertical from following them on social media.  

Like mid-late winter late. 

They've been doing well overseas, so I don't think its all on S&S.  Though, their SFGAm coaster has been a slow-go as well.  

Steel Curtain’s track was completed today!

Let’s hope testing goes well and we get a speedy opening. I can’t wait to ride this one.
