Disney: Possible Spider-Man web swinging ride?

Featured Replies

WDW News Today found a new patent strongly hinting at a swinging track ride, designed to be "an experience similar to what it would feel like to be with Tarzan or a similar character swinging between trees of a jungle on a vine or with Spider-Man or a similar character swinging on webs between buildings as you move down streets of a city." Details here: http://wdwnt.com/blog/2017/10/patent-hints-possible-spider-man-web-swinging-attraction-disney-parks-around-world/

Thoughts on this? The article speculates at the end that it might be installed at the DCA, Hong Kong, and Paris parks.

Could make a good addition to Animal Kingdom with the Tarzan theme or just a general jungle theme. Maybe could be a new e-ticket for an Amazon section in a South America land. Can easily see a Spider-Man themed ride go into the other parks with it. Looks like it would be a fun ride.

Except Sony, not Disney, owns the rights to Spidey..part of the parcelling out of the Marvel properties.  Disney would theme this ride to its IP.

Sort of....

Disney Owns Marvel. So it's their own... except movie rights are split between Sony and Marvel now.... except Universal (not Sony) owns theme Park Rights in Orlando to Spidey...
