Vintage Coney Memorabilia

Featured Replies

l stumbled across this recently on eBay and wanted  them as display pieces. The pin I'm told is from the 1940's and the cup and saucer set is from the 1960's. Figure some of you might like to take a look!

Bumping my own thread because I can.

Now that I’m a big kid and have my own house I can do whatever I want. So after eating ice cream bars for dinner I decided to hang these rad pictures that I recently acquired. I bought all three on eBay and were all supposedly of Coney. The bottom two clearly show The Shooting Star and Wildcat and the other shows a great shot of the midway. The last one I’m unsure of. You be the judge!

Cool pictures!

If the one you're uncertain of is the Ferris Wheel, that indeed is Coney. The coaster in the background is Shooting Star - you can see its left turn at the top of the drop and its tunnel down below. Here's a shot from a somewhat-similar angle showing those same two things.

Very cool seeing all that old memorabilia!

If you visit Coney, there is a cool museum set up just behind the Swing A Round.  It has tons of cool stuff in there.  It is actually right next door to the rides office.
