August 30, 20178 yr So, ever since I saw this pic and then in person, my OCD has kicked into high gear. I was wondering if it was just me, or can others see it? Is the logo on the Mystic Timbers shed crooked?
August 30, 20178 yr It looks like the words are actually horizontal, but the shed itself is sloped downhill like any other coaster brake run. Since the words and the shed aren't parallel, it makes the words seem crooked. Technically, the shed is crooked one here, haha.
August 30, 20178 yr +1. I work on this ride and the station and break run are actually sloped to move the train forward by gravity. The words are level with the ground but as stated before the shed is the Crooked oneSent from my XT1575 using Tapatalk
August 30, 20178 yr Author The slope of the shed and track is a given... but what baffled me is it actually gives the effect that the logo is not only crooked, but false. Being more specific - it makes pictures of it seem as though the name was photo shopped onto the shot. LOL I cant tell you... my OCD absolutely cannot handle it!
August 30, 20178 yr I wonder why they just didn't line the logo up with the shed? It would've fit with the whole "old abandoned lumber mill" theme. It could've been like at one point everything was straight and level, including the shed, but over time it has settled and now it's sloped a bit. The fact that the shed is sloped but the logo is level with the ground, just makes it look like it was done intentionally and looks weird. I think it would've been less noticeable if the logo was crooked with the shed.
August 30, 20178 yr To be completely honest, when I first saw the picture I thought it WAS photo shopped
September 1, 20178 yr Just because the track inside the shed is sloped doesn't meant the shed had to be from a technical standpoint. There are plenty of squared buildings that house coas track at angles. KI clearly wanted it like this and is not likely to change it.
September 4, 20178 yr I honestly never realized this. Guess I never really paid much attention to it. But now I can't unsee itSent from my SM-G935V using Tapatalk
