Knott's Berry Farm to auction memorabilia, Jennie K locomotive

Featured Replies

Proving once and for all that Cedar Fair is not run by the Knoebels, Knott's Berry Farm is preparing to auction some of its warehoused memorabilia this March.

The collection includes animatronics that have been retired from rides, Walter Knott's Ford Model T, Knott's Scary Farm props, and (most notably) the Jennie K locomotive.which formerly operated at Cedar Point.

Huh? Is this a typo or am I missing something?

Knoebels is owned by the Knoebel family. Or maybe it's "Knoebels family"? I'm not really sure. Either way, people with a last name that's very similar to the park's name are who own the park.

Yes, I know that. But this thread is about Cedar Fair and Knott's Berry Farm, not Knoebels. :P

^ Knoebels (owned by the Knoebel family) is known for holding on to a lot of its historical memorabilia.

Knott's is getting ready to do the opposite; hopefully items go to collectors or parks who will take care of them.

Ah. I wasn't aware of that detail about Knoebels. Thank you for enlightening me. :)
