A related side note: my forum page just updated with the new banner image. It looks REALLY sharp, and it brings back memories of the old home page banner. Good job!

  • Working on the Tapatalk issues now, just keep posting in here with issues that you find. Started this forum in 2003 and this was the largest and most difficult to install in forums software IPB ever p

Ever since the forums updated, I've been getting an email once a day after I start posting, "Your Kings Island Central Forums digest." I thought I tweaked my settings to not get emails unless I got a PM. It's kind of obnoxious since it happens after I start posting and I'm already looking at the threads. I didn't get this email before the forums were updated.

I've already done that. The only thing for email highlighted is for a personal message and when I'm added to a conversation.

The only thing else that it could be is email once a week with all the new content that week, yet it's a daily thing.....stinks there isn't an option for opt-out with that.

^ With respect to new content, does the digest contain PMs, forum threads you follow, some other selection, or everything?

I'll look into it when I get a chance. Is anyone else getting more e-mails than they want?

Threads I follow and some other things I don't follow.

This is the email I got and my current settings. I get an email once a day once I start commenting on threads. If I don't comment one day, I don't get an email.

Dane applied a minor update to the IPS forum software tonight, which might have fixed that issue. Let us know, Chris.

Also, report here if anything broke with the upgrade.

So looking further, it seems to deal with the options of " Method to use for content I follow automatically " which gives the options of one email a day, one email a week or a notification when new content is posted.

I've went to the "a notification when new content is posted." Not really sure what that entails, but I guess we'll see when it happens. I'd just prefer not to get any notifications other than those I selected at the bottom section of the notifications settings page.

I turned Thumbor on, which proxies external forum images through the KICentral.com server. If anyone has problems with images in posts, let me know.

The benefit is that all images load over HTTPS and are automatically resized if necessary. We're also caching images, so threads don't lose their photos if an image host goes down.

Agreed! Thank you very much! It wasn't too annoying to have to scroll over, but it's also really nice to not have to.

I've been having issues in typing posts recently and it only happens here.  The cursor randomly cuts out and I have to re-click a bunch to re-establish it.

I had that issue as well. I cleared my cache/history and that fixed it?

I have had that issue on semi public computers (school) but not on my home computer.

Anyone else having issues where links (that are displayed as clicky photos) dont show up at all on Tapatalk? Be nice if at least the text would show if the image embeding couldnt work

I'm still seeing the same as the screenshot in JubJester's last post above. I've also seen these broken images before, but never had time to report it before I forgot about it.

Yeah I see the same as the screenshot. #2 is a broken link box

But more specifically I see nothing whatsoever if someone or I try to post a link to a tweet (which becomes an embeded clicky photo on PC)

It's working now because I temporarily patched the Tapatalk plugin to fix the bug.

The plugin erroneously assumed that IPS generates a thumbnail for every uploaded image, when it actually generates them only for large images.

Quick question: With the new update, are there no longer friend lists (as I only see the option to "follow" a user)?

So this is what happens if you quote a post that tags yourself:

Um... thanks, Tapatalk?
