I am completely new to haunted houses and not looking very forward to going to Halloween Haunt but my son and husband are insisting on going this weekend so my question is as a newbie any suggestions as the least scariest house to start with and make my first house????

I would say hit CarnEvil or Blackout. CarnEvil is more like a funhouse and Blackout is a pitch black maze without many jump scares.

Definitely start with CarnEvil. Unless you are scared of clowns this is the least scary house. Also Board to Death barely has any scares in it. Blackout can kinda be a little more scary because it is pitch black and you cant see where you are going and it has a creepy soundtrack going. there are a few scare actors in the maze that wear night vision goggles so keep that in mind too. Slaughter house is usually pretty good scare wise too.

I agree with Board to Death and CarnEvil, though Backwoods Bayou didn't seem to have too many people in there to scare me when I've been in there.

Sorority house is also a good one to start with, due to the fact that most of the actors just sit around and do nothing,

My husband will like that fact sorority house is the house he was most interested in but is just as chicken as I am. I was most interested in board to death. I hate we are so chicken and we are working so hard to not be so that our son is not as chicken.

I guess i should of reworded it better but i meant Slaughterhouse was a good maze to go through for scares lol
