Former Paramount's Kings Island Employee Now GM of Six Flags Fiesta Texas

Featured Replies

Rumors have been circulating about this for quite a while, but according to Facebook it's now official:

Former (Paramount's) Kings Island Marketing Communications Manager Jeffrey SIebert has been named the new General Manager of Six Flags Fiesta Texas.

We wish our friend Jeff the best on this new challenge!

I just noticed this on Facebook as well.

Big congrats to Mr. Siebert!

I  know he'll do a great job at Fiesta Texas. A wonderful park with a wonderful new park president.

Congratulations Mr. Slebert to being the new gm of Six Flags Fiesta Texas. Just today I was checking out a few videos of the park, I like their train ride, going under the tunnel is nice.

Sort of off topic, but what department do most GMs come from? I know of a couple park GMs that were directors of games and merchandise before they got bumped up to GM and I know of a couple from marketing and a couple from operations too. Is there a better off department?

It varies. Great talent starts in a variety of positions. Melinda Ashcraft, retired GM of SFFT, SFKK and SFOG started in rides in Georgia.

Her successor was a marketer who had been at four Paramount Parks and SFDK and had managed what is now DC's Verizon Center (arena). And now, another marketer--with Paramount Parks and Mighty Ducks experience steps up at SFFT.
