Check Groupon for tickets as they had sold some there when I posted about it in the random food thread a bit ago.

I don't know why they'd hold it on the July 1 weekend... It'll be the busiest weekend of the year, why wouldn't they have it another time to try to draw more people in on a slower weekend???

If you're wondering why they would in canada... never been to Canada sans 4th of July time frame but certain it's not celebrated quite like their brethren south of the border.

It's a 'continuation' of Canada Day. Not sure exactly, though. What that is.

I rarely post to the forums but I have to agree on this one. KI should really consider its own bacon festival or think about adding bacon to menu items throughout the park.

That would be a great event if Kings Island had something like that here!

It's not about drawing more people during slow times of the summer; it's about Canada.

I'm pretty sure Honorarius is Canadian, assuming he is the person of the same username from CWMania. So there's no need to tell him what Canada Day is....  

Also, assuming it's their 4th of July it will still be the busiest weekend of the year for them.

Is the point that there won't be any real bacon?

If you order 'bacon' in Canada you don't get what you would call 'Canadian Bacon'... You would have to order 'back bacon' or 'peameal bacon' to get Canadian Bacon in Canada...

I'm not so sure DC needs to be its own state. Why not reduce DC to just the federal lands, and give the rest of the city to Maryland/Virginia?
