Hmmm. When I zoom in, all I can see is "Obi-Don!"

Nothing to see here. Just some trees, and a few engineers and stone carvers working on an 80' statue... move along

  • Hi guys!  Long time follower, first time poster.  Just wanted to finally join in on the fun!  This is the first season I've had a pass in probably more than a decade!  I grew up in the area but I mov

If they're doing the announcement over there it does make sense for them to shut down Diamondback early so GP can start entering the area to get spots to watch.

I wonder if they'll use the back of the building as a giant projection screen.

This can only mean one thing... we are all going to just have to marathon the DB from 9-10. Oh and theres like 3-4 pokestops in that area.

Edit - Well ok everyone is making a point to the DB shutting down early so 8-9!!

Once again, the building and queue for Tomb Raider: The Ride are being used for things that aren't Tomb Raider: The Ride.

I know I shouldn't be bothered by that, but I still am.

Sigh.

On a more positive note, I really am excited for this announcement. I also really like the trend of new ride announcements being big in-park events for all guests. It's just a neat thing to experience. There's a type of excitement there that just can't be found elsewhere. I hope it continues. I'm sure this one will be great!

Looks like the rain might let up just in time for the announcement. Don't forget to stop by your local DollarTree to pick up a rain poncho!

Yes, someone will.

We need pictures tomorrow!!

The best things come to those that wait.

Just noting: on Banshee's announcement day, The Beast along with all attractions in Action Zone closed in advance of the announcement. The Beast was closed so that they would be clear to launch fireworks immediately following the announcement.

I'm sure announcements of any early ride closures will be made throughout the day, so everyone can get their rides in beforehand.

Is the live stream right from KI website? If not, anybody have a link?

I think if you subscribe to KI on youtube .....

Anyone else glued to the DB webcam right now?

Looks like camo cover and maybe using the building for a screen of projector??

That camo cover is all too familiar, here is a video from YouTube of the Son of Beast announcement in 1999. https://youtu.be/UJF7tdvhUTo Skip to the 5 minute mark in the video.

^^^ Don had hair???!?
Don with hair at 1:29. Crazy, he was introduced as just a special guest and coaster enthusiast(with an impressive number of The Beast rides). Now he's delivering the speeches

I'm sorry, I prefer to purchase one at full retail for $5 plus tax. Thank you very much. Ha! (I bought a KI umbrella and I love using it everywhere) I don't want the print out of my layout getting wet to show off! Heehee. Maybe Don will sign it!!??!!

Well, that was awkward.

Watching the DBack webcam. Some lights and possible set up going on. Some mysterious flashes going on.

I am ruling out a family coaster. They are putting way too much effort into this. They wouldn't want to get any hate for over hyping it either.

The lights on DB webcam look like that tombstones at Banshee when they are lit up at night
