I don't think the green stuff is a coincidence anymore. I think the green track at Clermont is ours.

Has there been any more clearing of trees?

It feels too early for track. The park would not need it until August. But who knows at this point.

MadMaverick, someone posted yesterday that there was a huge clearing of trees back by DB's hammerhead that was new.

I suspect that is why they had the blimp there to survey the area

They might not need it till August but track fabrication is a long process so they might need to be making it now so a lot of it ready by August.

Furthermore, if this is a giga, there is going to be a LOT of track. And it's going to take quite a while to make all of that.

There was a blimp flying overhead for a while earlier. It actually looked to be flying crooked! I imagine it might have had something to do with the volleyball tournament thing in Mason today.

I am at the park for Coasterstock. I do think the watch for falling trees listed under 2017 on the timeline of major attractions during the presentation by Dennis Speigel interesting. I do not remember any flat rides in the list like the addition would be very major.

I have ridden the train and there are more stakes in the same areas as before, some are marked edge of clearing. The slope between the train and White Water Canyon pond is totally clear. There is a set of white stakes near the train shed. Next to this is a hole several inches in diameter. Possibly a core sample? This hole was not there two weeks ago.

Waiting for ERT tonight to ride Diamondback so will not be able to see any clearing by the hammerhead. It is hard to tell if any work is being done in this area from the train or tower.

The blimp is now flying over near Diamondback. Pretty sure it says 'Direct TV'.

Sorry I'm inside The Beast station right now. But I got some video of it over International Street and Action Zone.

I don't see the blimp anymore. Was here just a few minutes ago. But yes it was a Direct TV blimp. Been up there about all day.

Edit: still flying around.

That blimp has been flying around town since Thursday. I work at Goodwill Industries in Woodlawn and have seen it while dumping garbage.

That was back when Banshee was under construction, that someone mentioned he saw Intamin track on the highway and was certain it was for Kings Island.

That is essentially what is being referred to when people say "green Intamin track". It was a completely unsubstantiated and false rumor that originated from a post here on KIC during the original Decoding thread. It was determined pretty quickly to be nothing more than an attempt to troll, and has been a running inside joke on KIC ever since.

 

The green B&M track, of which pictures were posted and which is therefore not false or trolling, is completely separate from that, and any similarity to the "green Intamin track" is purely a coincidence.

I mean it is very possible this is a coaster for overseas. They might be working on something for KI but I doubt we will see anything this soon, I would look for stuff toward June or July.

I mean they are pretty soon, but seeing track before footings are being placed would be pretty crazy. I also meant more mid to late June, like Fury was, since they don't have to ship it as far.
