Favorite Former/Present KI Coaster Poll

Featured Replies

With the 2016 coming (soonish), I decided to make this poll:

Now this is simple which is your favorite KI Coaster you have a few options:

1. You can have one favorite former Kings Island coaster, and one favorite present Kings Island Coaster

2. You can have 2 favorite former Kings Island Coasters.

3. You can have 2 favorite present Kings Island Coasters.

For me:

Banshee and The Beast

Old school and new school! (Though both present)

I choose option #3:  Current coasters.  The Beast and Diamondback.

The Interpreter, please clarify:  Is the name of the wooden roller coaster in Rivertown The Beast or Beast?  I usually call it The Beast based on the logo, but have noticed that even the park social media often refers to it as simply Beast.

An interesting question. Though many refer to it as The Beast, and maps typically do, I've often just called it Beast, as did the late Ruth Voss, who dearly loved it, said it relieved her arthritis, and started the ACE walkbacks.

Think of a beloved family pet named by a tot, Dog. Dog is both Dog and The Dog. I see Beast like that. Beast is both Beast and The Beast--as in a near reverential awe for its Beastdom and Beastness.

I'd say Beast is one for sure. Otherwise it'd be a tossup between Banshee and Diamondback for second. Kind of depends on if i'm in the mood for airtime and speed or intesity and inversions.
