August 30, 201510 yr Hi, Someone broke into my car last night and stole my KI gold passes. I have called KI to let them know to please deactivate them, confiscate them, etc. However, I was also told that it would be $15 a piece to replace them. I have filed a police report. Do you think if I bring said report that I can get free replacements? Or, am I better off just buying my 2016 passes and getting new passes made? Will they even make them this early? Thanks!
August 30, 201510 yr A 2016 new pass would only get you in one time in 2015. A renewal of the 2015 passes would get you in the rest of this season, too. Sorry to hear about the break-in.
August 30, 201510 yr Author If I renew can I get a free gold pass, or would I still be on the hook for the $15 each pass?
August 30, 201510 yr I don't think you'd have to have the passes. The park can look them up for you. A new card when renewing is typically gratis.
August 30, 201510 yr My wife lost hers 4 or 5 years ago. When we called the park, they told us it would be $15 to replace, unless we had a police report in which case it would be free. But again, that was 4-5 years ago.
August 31, 201510 yr My understanding was always that your first replacement was free, with each subsequent reprint subject to the $15 fee? Has that changed, or did I misunderstand? Either way, with a police report I expect it would be free anyway. Call the park to ask about that!
August 31, 201510 yr You may be thinking about the "forgot pass" admission, which Kings Island offers complimentary to passholders once per season. (A second time would require paying the replacement pass fee.) It's worth noting that the replacement pass (for a fee) is also offered only once per season. A second time would involve buying admission ticket(s) or a new pass.
August 31, 201510 yr And the original poster was told about the replacement fee (even with a police report) by a park person on the phone....I'd go to the park and deal with admissions in person.

September 2, 201510 yr My replacement was free, but I didn't need a police report. The policeman was standing right there next to me.
September 3, 201510 yr Then why was the original poster told otherwise on the phone? Honestly I don't know why they were told that.
