August 16, 201511 yr what do you guys think about the whole blackout maze? and do you guys think its related to Banshee in any way? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
August 16, 201511 yr 1. Welcome to KIC! 2. I have never experienced it. 3. I don't think it's related to Banshee in any way.
August 16, 201511 yr Author i was just thinking it maybe could be, because if you look closely in the eye theres a little loop that looks like the Banshee loop Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
August 16, 201511 yr Good catch.....it does appear to be the Banshee loop. But im guessing its supposed to be as if its a reflection from across the midway. It would be cool though if there was more of a connection to the Banshee.....I guess we'll find out what its about soon enough! I do think Banshee should have it's own house or maybe a roaming meet and greet character.

August 16, 201511 yr It looks to be a sensory deprivation experience, with absolutely zero lights in it, and very likely loud music/screams/distracting sounds playing while you attempt to navigate the 100% dark maze from entrance to exit.
August 17, 201511 yr I like the idea of a dark, tactile experience, but I wonder how that would work for crowd control.....unless it's a "pay to play" (which I hope it's not). I would like to see a Banshee haunt on the concrete pad under the Banshee storage house. There is a lot of space under there.

There is a lot of space under there. for the past years at Haunt, all of them have been free to go through, as long as you have a Gold or Platinum pass, so i think it will be a free maze to go through also.Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
August 17, 201511 yr Good point...I wonder if this year might bring us "Skeleton Key Plus"...you know..."for a few dollars more"...

August 17, 201511 yr All you can Scream Plan. For a one-time fee each Haunt season, they'll have someone go into the Haunts for you and scream their brains out in your stead. This way you can experience Haunt while enjoying all of the rides and attractions Kings Island has to offer!
August 18, 201511 yr I like the idea of a dark, tactile experience, but I wonder how that would work for crowd control.....unless it's a "pay to play" (which I hope it's not). I would like to see a Banshee haunt on the concrete pad under the Banshee storage house. There is a lot of space under there. My guess? A group of 4 to 6 allowed in every few minutes, acting as a form of "recon" team, helping each other through the maze as a group. There will very likely be "Mazemasters" with flashlights, to find and retrieve/extract teams that arent through the maze in a pre-determined amount of time.

I wonder where they would have gotten the inspiration for that if they did it...www.escapetheroomchallenge.com
August 18, 201510 yr Meh, I had no idea, I honestly had totally forgotten about that and didnt give it a passing thought. I was just thinking of how they could make my original idea work from a crowd control/capacity/feasibility standpoint.
August 19, 201510 yr In Fall of 2011, I went into an all black maze at Scream Park in Lexington, KY. I made it about 12 feet into the maze before the person I was with had to grab one of the actors in the maze to get me out because I started having a panic attack. It's a wonderful concept but unfortunately, the all black was a bit overwhelming for me.
August 19, 201510 yr ^Welcome to KIC! Thanks. I'm not exactly new. I used to have an account back before the Banshee was announced, but I didn't get on after the announcement and my account disappeared. I remade my account a few weeks ago so I could keep up with the announcement for 2016. But that's not really important. edit: fixed so my text wasn't in the quote bubble

It was a decent maze that really was pitch black (and this was also inside a warehouse that held two other mazes next to each other, Castle of Fear and Insanity), and most of the scares were sound-based. Occasionally there was an air cannon blast and there was even a claustrophobia tunnel at the end. Given the amount of time it took to get through it, however, I would imagine KI would pulse the line harder than normal, and it *might* justify the need for an upcharge to keep bottlenecking to a minimum.
August 19, 201510 yr Author noooo! I love Club Blood me too hopefully blackout will be better though!Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
August 20, 201510 yr Author i cant wait till it opens, what about you guys? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
August 21, 201510 yr Fox19 interviewed Don Helbig (from within the building that will house Blackout) and he said it will be pitch black and the scareactors will be wearing night vision glasses.
