What I find very, very intriguing is that there is a "Haunt VIP Meal" with Kings Dominion's "slightly demented" executive chef.  Neat idea, but I wish Kings Island had a similar thing with Chef Nate.

That, alone, would frighten me.

And not in a good way.

Blackout is replacing something. It's replacing Club Blood. 

I doubt they would announce another maze this late. If they were going to, it would have been announced earlier, but you never know.

From poking around on the unfinished website, it doesn't look like there are any other maze changes. However, Hot Blooded may be coming back, especially since it looks like Skeleton Crew isn't

ME too. I loved Skeleton Crew and was looking forward to going to it again this year.

Meanwhile, Knott's Berry Farm has a maze debuting this year with nods to both Disney's Frozen and HBO's Game of Thrones called Dead of Winter, and another tapping off the success of Ghost Hunters and the Paranormal Activity franchise called Paranormal Inc. They even have roaming scareactors based off the the Seven Deadly Sins.

 

I wonder if they'll tout Hot Blooded (assuming it returns this year) as a "new" show like they did last year with Ghouls Gone Wild...

Looks like the haunt site is live and working properly. New is blackout maze, Monster Rock in the Festhaus with a performing rock hits and the return of hot blooded.

I for one am Really glad Hot Blooded is back. It is one of my favorite shows KI has put on recently.

Monster Rock seems to be the same as the Let It rock show that currently plays in the Festhaus (it even has the same description)

One thing to note on the website is the parking price.  Day of Auto is listed as $15.  Advanced Auto is listed as $12.  Has Kings Island ever done this for parking prices in the past?  Haunt or otherwise?

I thought weekend parking purchased at the park had been $15 for some time, with pre-purchased or weekday parking $12.

I didn`t know that they had been charging more for weekend parking.  Working at Coney on the weekends, I only tend to visit KI in the summer on weekday evenings.

Glad to see Tombstone Terror-tory back again...for the 8th year in a row (or 10th, depending on if you count FearFest; the park surely doesn't).

From the cast list I seen posted on Facebook sounds like monster rock will be a 9 piece live band.

So...why is Slaughterhouse listed as being in Action Zone? Is that just a mistake on KI's part?

That'd be my guess, Can't imagine they'd go back to a temp space after just building a permanent space for it.

 

Also notice that the Fright Feast doesn't say anything about a single Fright Lane voucher like you got last year. Kind of disappointed if that isn't included. Money is tight right now so not sure if I can justify the extra $55 on Fright Lane this year for everyone in the family so was hoping to do teh feast as it's a great value and get to skip one line.

So it seems like Monster Rock may be the same show as Let It Rock, just with different costumes. In that logo on the website, Its the same "rock" font for Let It Rock and appears to be the same guitar as well. Just thinking.

Have the Eiffel Tower, Xtreme Skyflyer, SR&R, and Sling Shot always been closed during Haunt?

 

I guess I haven't been paying attention in past years.

SR&R was last year, because it was still dismantled. But that's the only one I know for sure.
