Fearfest sucks

Featured Replies

I left around 7:00 and got there at eight, big mistake. To my surprise it was so packed. Last year the lines were hardly no wait, except for pyscho path. Tonight however they were long. Every haunted house was like a 2 hour wait. I would much rather spend 20 dollars and have no wait than get in free and have a long wait. SO all I did tonight was ride beast, then Son of Beast. I also saw my couson again in the same spot I saw him earlier in the year, right by Son of Beast, it was kind of strange. So fear fest imo this year sucks.

Last year I went and did all the attractions and they sucked so I assumed the same for this year, except this year the lines were way longer. The only one they ever had that was good was tower of Terror.

I've never been impressed with PKI's haunted houses.

But yes, for the most part, I agree with you.

Considering the houses open this year at 3, rather than 8, it would make sense that each one would have a 2 hour wait by 7, as by 10 last year every fear fest attraction(for the most part)had long wait times after a couple hours into it. I personally feel that the first Fear Fest was the best, though I was too afraid to go into any of the houses except the Museum of Horrors(PT transformed), which is still my favorite Fear Fest attraction. I still haven't gone up to FF 2003 yet, but I've heard that most of the houses are pretty good this year, and that Rt. 666 is great. I just wish they'd bring back WEBN's Celebrity Slaughter, and make the Eiffel Tower change colors again(lighting). Even though I got covered in blood from that show last year, it was still worth it.

I was there yesterday, most of the time the lines were no that bad. But around fear fest the lines for drop zone,Delirium were at around 1 to 1 half hours long. Then I went over to Flight of Fear and the turn styles were being used out side the building. Even know the rides looked cool at night. There was a lot of people there. I ended the day with a ride on The Beast, the line for it was about 35 to 45 mins long so. It was so cool at 11:50 at night. laugh.gif

Yeah, it sucks. So does working at FoF during fearfest when lines for 3 mazes combine in one area to make it near impossible to get back to your ride on time from break.

Make us pay cash again!!!

FearFest sucks you say? Oh well, guess I dont have to deal with ya this year anymore.

Get over it. PKI tried being nice this year by making it free. So instead of being a ***** about it, suck it up. Im tired of hearing people whine about the lines. Just get over it and wait.

A ton of people are wanting to pay to get in again... most of them being Season Pass holders. Maybe we can look for them to change it back next year? The only problem with that is that Season Pass holders are usually the ones with tighter wallets and don't spend money in the park (usually, I know some of you spend a ton of money there) but in most cases the park gets most money from people already spending a small fortune to get in for the day.

Like I mentioned in an early post, maybe the park can open up Friday Nights for just Season Pass holders and keep keep Saturday and Sunday the same as this year?

#1: PKI is advertising that Fearfest will be free for Season Passholders in 2004.

#2: YOU think just the lines were bad on 10-11? Try having to do ALL the cleaning for Son of Beast AND Top Gun - a job that normally takes 6 people 45 minutes - with three people. I didn't get out until around 1:30 AM.

PKI didn't try to be nice. They did this so they could make money and looked what happened.

look its a lose lose situation. if they make it free ya there make more money but more lines, charg money and less people and make a little less money. but the idea about friday nights now thats a good idea.

Yeah, I do like the idea of the season pass holders only on Fridays, that would be sweet. Everyone here agrees that they should go back to the old method. I also agree with you stxbomber, the rush of people by FOF is insane. It is almost impossible to walk through there.

PKI is not advertising free season pass admission to Fearfest 2004. Nor have they ever. The deal with the season passes clearly says that if you buy a 2004 season pass now you get free admission to FearFest....this year. It is the same as if you were buying regular admission. PKI would not advertise stuff about FearFest 2004 because they don't even know if they are going to do it.

I think its pretty safe to assume that FearFest will be arond for a while. However, I don`t know if it will be included with park admission/season passes next year. The reason being that FearFest was a whole lot more enjoyable when passholders had to pay $19 bucks to get in.

ahh... That's one thing I love about you people.. this is the only group I know that complains that they get something for free..lol

Anyway, yeah, I agree. I'd rather pay $19 and have a good time then get into a crowded park for free.
