September 1, 201411 yr I would not be disappointed if it got relocated to Kings Island and name it King Cobra! Link:http://www.italintl.com/detail_page.php?record_id=1886
September 1, 201411 yr Cedar Fair is selling it. That means they have determined they have no interest in relocating it. King Cobra was also offered for sale...and had no takers.
September 1, 201411 yr Considering its nearly 30 years old, its been sitting in the Canadian weather all that time, and Togo is no more, I really, really doubt it'll find a home other than a scrapyard.
September 1, 201411 yr At least the company has learned something from the Big Dipper sale. Removal required by September 2014. Oh, wait...
September 1, 201411 yr Canada's Wonderland's story is that the real estate on which SkyRider sits is needed for something else...
September 1, 201411 yr A. Camden couldn't afford to install it, much less buy and move it. B. They did such a good job maintaining Screamin' Demon (not--it rusted away). C. The coaster is almost bigger than either the upper end or lower end of the park. Thanks for the laugh, though.
September 1, 201411 yr I thought they had stated that it was being sold for scrap with a few pieces headed to the Roller Coaster Museum? Did something change?
September 1, 201411 yr One nice little coaster, besides Big Dipper and I think that place could really pick up. Alwell I can dream.
September 1, 201411 yr If no buyers come along, I'd like to see maybe a peice of track, along with the trains, head to the National Roller Coaster Museum.
September 1, 201411 yr I'd suspect the trains would go to Kings Dominion, unless that coaster is also slated for near term removal.
September 2, 201411 yr I'd suspect the trains would go to Kings Dominion, unless that coaster is also slated for near term removal. That's what I'm thinking - they're just casting their polls in the water to see if something bites. The likely scenario is that the track will be scrapped (and probably worth something) and the trains will go to Dominion, where they can still use them for parts.... for now.
September 5, 201411 yr If no one comes forward to purchase SkyRider.Cedar Fair should consider relocating it to another one of their properties.
September 5, 201411 yr If no one comes forward to purchase SkyRider.Cedar Fair should consider relocating it to another one of their properties. I don't think it would have been for sale if they were considering that.
September 5, 201411 yr I would rather see Camden get one of these Larson Giant Loop coasters. Smaller footprint, still provides a thrill, and they can market it as a coaster because Larson does. On topic, I don't really see any amusement park clamoring for this coaster as Togo no longer exists. The whole standing coaster phase is over.
September 15, 201411 yr Per the Ital International, Inc. listing, SkyRider has been sold: click. That was unexpected, but it's definitely appreciated (as long as the ride is rebuilt somewhere I'll have a chance of riding it!) Hopefully it wasn't bought for scrap.
September 16, 201411 yr Come visit my back yard! SkyRider will be renamed for the 2015 season, standby for the announcement of the announcement date! "In all seriousness, I am excited that it has been bought and hopefully it'll land somewhere close. KK? Indiana Beach?
September 16, 201411 yr I stand corrected. Never thought this would sell. It's good that it's not going to disappear completely, just from this continent more than likely.
September 16, 201411 yr On an unrelated note, more Geauga Lake/CF items still for sale. SkyCoaster: http://www.italintl.com/detail_page.php?record_id=1125 Observation Tower anyone? http://www.italintl.com/detail_page.php?record_id=1735 Possibly the old El Dorado: http://www.italintl.com/detail_page.php?record_id=152
September 16, 201411 yr The Skycoaster thing is interesting. I was always under the understanding that those were the property of the manufacturer. Wasn't it the first thing repoed when SFKK closed?

September 16, 201411 yr The Skycoaster thing is interesting. I was always under the understanding that those were the property of the manufacturer. Wasn't it the first thing repoed when SFKK closed? Geauga Lake- that former SF, not Kentucky Kingdom I'm pretty sure someone on here posted photos of it being removed - just days after they announced its closure at SFKK. I could be wrong...
