Hi I am going to Six Flags Great America for the first time and ride Goliath and stuff, I need some advice

Even in the Dark Days, Great America always stood out as one of the cleaner, kinder Six Flags parks. It remained that way when I visited a few years back.

A really nice collection of coasters, especially if you're a frequent visitor of Cedar Fair parks. You'll get a nice dose of different manufacturers and models, and a different way of doing things. (Cedar Fair's California's Great America originated as a sister park of Six Flags Great America. They share SOME coasters and elements, but they have diverged in the decades since their separation, each well representing the direction of its respective owners.)

If you're visiting for just a day and doing it this month, you may consider a The Flash Pass. I used one. Just be aware that Six Flags infamously inflates wait times to boost The Flash Pass sales, so don't take them at their word necessarily.

Don't miss the Whizzer, even if you're tempted to. Raging Bull is stellar, in my opinion.

Parking is a whopping $25. Brace yourself. (EDIT: Never mind, profile shows you're 13. Probably you won't be responsible for the parking fee. )

And, however busy you might think the park will be, it will probably be busier.

No way would I even think of visiting this park on a Saturday without using The Flash Pass. And if it offers tiers, the most expensive one. This park is nearly always busy.

I went to Six Flags Great America in 2008 and had a blast. I reccommend Viper, Whizzer, Revolution and Chubasco (the teacups). Have fun!

I have to put in a good word for X-Flight, too. I personally think it's the best of the American B&M wing coasters. Like Gatekeeper, it's not to be missed in the last row, left side.

Viper seems like a fantastic ride, and it probably has earned its reputation as a great, smooth ride. Unfortunately, when I rode it, it was backwards, which made anticipating turns I'd never been through before both annoying and next to impossible. I do think I'd like it a LOT if it were forwards. I'd check it out!

I echo all the praise for Whizzer, and then some. It's a classic. It's a simple ride that isn't particularly intense, but it's a lot of fun. It'll keep a line all day, unfortunately, but it's worth trying at least once.

Also, if you're into theming, the Southwest Territory and New Orleans-themed areas are some of the neater areas in the seasonal parks I've been to. Unfortunately, the New Orleans-related areas also feature Superman and Dark Knight-themed rides, but they're still very unique!

How busy is it on a Monday we are looking to go on the 21st.

A Monday is July is probably quieter than a Saturday in July, but more busy than a Wednesday.

It's the heart of summer. There's not a great time to go to any theme park in July, especially those drawing from major metropolitan areas with huge tourist draw. Expect crowds, expect to wait, and be pleasantly surprised if you don't have them and don't wait. And then there's The Flash Pass...

Ride American Eagle, Viper, and maybe even Little Dipper. This may be your last chance to ride them, looking at other Six Flags parks...
