July 4, 201412 yr Aw that's sad RIP Nikki Nikki by ki_faerie_wench, on Flickr Edit: This one is Nikki, photo I posted earlier was one of the other female Rhinos they have.
July 4, 201412 yr Was she the one who always hid herself behind the cave wall, and would charge out at unsuspecting walkers turning around the bushy corner? I watched her for a LONG time making zoo-goers shriek in terror if so.
July 4, 201412 yr How incredibly sad. I hope that her species survives and doesn't go the way of the Martha, the Passenger Pigeon. I would hope that the zoo could/would capture Nikki's DNA. BTW, just read an article about Passenger Pigeons and the possible reintroduction of the extinct species! http://longnow.org/revive/what-we-do/passenger-pigeon/
October 7, 201510 yr Was she the one who always hid herself behind the cave wall, and would charge out at unsuspecting walkers turning around the bushy corner? I watched her for a LONG time making zoo-goers shriek in terror if so. I know that this is a long time delayed, but the rhino you were describing is actually Manjula. Nikki's yards were the ones located on the opposite of the African Veldt loop.
